    Water Shoes

Lands End and LL Bean have some great water shoes. I get them in the Wide size. They are great from swimming, and some look like "maryjanes". Some look like regular sneakers. I like wearing them to the parks because even if they get wet, they dry quickly.

If you were building a new home, what would be your must haves?

Sliding shelving in the kitchen cabinets (lower half) - both shelves, not just the top one. I hate getting down on all fours to pull out pans, or anything stored under the counter. Induction cooktop or stove. All the convenience of gas, none of the danger. Fan lights in every room. Keeps...

Not sure why Tony’s gets the hate…

I suspect they have changed chefs and the food has improved greatly. BUT, when we ate there about 6 years ago, my husband and I broke out laughing. We were both raised on Chef Boyardee Spaghetti (in the can) - until I was in my 20's I honestly believed that was authentic Italian food. When...

    Evening parades and fireworks

Me too! I resent the fact that California "stole" our electric light parade and are now flaunting it!

    Things I wish I knew…

That was funny and interesting. My pet peeve with "the other Park" is that their maps - if you can find one - are not very clear. We had trouble trying to get from one place to the other, so we did a lot of walking for nothing. We did find a place to watch the folks going through the water...

Thanks, I'll start keeping track of the ones that confuse me and write them down if they're not on the list.

Thank you!!! I've been wracking my brain - I guessed the Grand Floridian part, but could not put another word before it. I guess I'll have to just update my list manually!

    Where to Start - Overwhelmed

We've been going to Disney for many years now. I cannot stress enough how you will be better off to use an authorized Disney Travel planner. They will not only help you plan YOUR particular dream vacation, they will make all the reservations, monitor any specials and discounts that come up...

    AP Sales Paused

I feel so terrible for the folks who were going to buy AP's for a Christmas gift and were waiting till closer to Christmas. Does not seem fair.

    Need parenting advice- laundry mess

As nutty as this sounds, my cousin grabs the laundry basket, goes around the house picking up all the clothes not in their rooms and tosses it out on the lawn - they live in New England and it's not fun going out to pick your clothes from the snow. He doesn't touch their rooms - that's their...

Options for someone who cant stand for long periods

That is exactly what the cast member at guest services told us would be available: "Go to the ride and they will provide a wheelchair to sit in while waiting." They are not consistent in their messaging.

Festival of Lion King - any updates?

We were there yesterday, around 11AM, and were the 5th in line. The wait was about 15 to 20 minutes. It was about 80% full. I do miss the Tumbling Monkees and the trapeeze act. The 2 trapeeze artist do a lovely dance, but it is not airborn. The show is still excellent.

    American Airlines

Same here - I mistakenly booked through Priceline - thinking I was on the American Website. I will NEVER make that mistake again.

    How Scary is Test Track?

Hate roller coasters - they actually make my heart, hurt so no more. Love Splash Mtn. & Dinosaur - same as you. Fine with Test Track. Reminds me of Dinosaur with a little more speed. Good luck & Have fun!

Booked but still on the fence?

We booked one night at Pop Cent. for my husband's birthday, and got the deal on the Fl. resident 4 day ticket, and could not get another night - they are booked solid. So we'll be driving back and forth the other 2 days (we're about 20 miles away). But, when I tried to get something in Sept...

Can I wear sneakers in July?

I would not wear flip flops because I've seen so many people get stepped on when someone backs up, or changes course suddenly. I always wear sneakers with good arch support, and lately, I wear a good pair of "water shoes". They look like sneakers, but are designed to work in water and dry...

    How to plan?

We are Disney folks, and are very comfortable there - enjoy many of the rides (eg: Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Small World, Peter Pan). Just went to Universal for the first time (park 2 park) and it was almost overwhelming. Most rides have some sort of roller coaster element, so unless you're...

Epcot slower at open, busier in evening?

Last time we were in World Showcase after 5pm, it was a weekend in the October before Covid. It was full of young people drinking their way around the world. Might have changed since crowd size is limited.
