Guest experiences with daily room checks

We just did a week at BLT and another at BCV. We were gone so much while staying at BLT, we never noticed anything except for one evening. I had been in the villa with my daughter for much of the day, and Mousekeeping had been vigilant about taking out the trash throughout the stay. So I put...

    How long is V&A meal?

We just got back on Saturday. We had a glorious meal. I would make an ADR every single trip if I could. It's just such a treat. Great food. Great wine. DH managed to find a couple of bottles that are hard to find, so he was thrilled. Recap: Our ADR was 7:15 pm. V&A told us to plan for a...

    How long is V&A meal?

Thanks for the info! I think I'm going to have my oldest (over 18) pick up his brother. Do you think I can do that? I'll bring him along when we drop little brother off. DH doesn't like to rush meals. We love to dine:) We are both looking forward to the experience of V&A.

    How long is V&A meal?

We have a 7:15 reservation at Victoria and Albert's. We are in the dining room. Our little one will be at the Contemporary doing the Pixar thing. I read the meal might take 4-4.5 hrs? If so, we will have to make other arrangements. Pixar is over at 10:30.

    Wheelchairs, Shows and FPs

Our last trip was 2 years ago, I think. So if there have been changes, my apologies. My DD is in a wheelchair. We usually go during a low crowd time. Crowd level is one thing you might want to take a peek at when planning. We have never had to use FPs for better seating; however, we have not...

Should I go to Disneyland Resort in 2018 or wait for Star Wars Land?

We will go to WDW in 2018 and I'd love to plan a trip to DL in 2018, too, just to avoid the SWL crowds. I don't think we will be back at Disney until after 2019. I'll plan another trip when it looks like some of the craziness settles. I think it's going to be gnarly.

Recommendations for wheelchair accessible van rentals

If you get a chance, can you update after you rent and let us know how it went? We will be in Orlando next year and I'm already wondering who to rent from:) Renting a van is so pricey!

Disneyland vs Disney World - Help me choose a trip!

We just got back from DL from a week long stay. Over the last 5 years, we've done WDW twice. I still have a lot to learn about navigating DL but, from my newbie experience last week, DL is harder to stick to a touring plan. I can rock it with TP at WDW but you can't plan FPs ahead of time at DL...

What all heroes have you seen at Summer of Heroes?

We saw Spiderman last week. He was our kids absolute favorite. Very engaging:)

    Photopass WdW vs DL

We had Maxpass so photos were included. Compared to WDW, I did feel like there were fewer opportunities and the quality wasn't the same imo. At least 1/3 of mine have somebody's face blocked because the photographer didn't let us know and the pics with Sally/Jack are terrible (shadows on...

    Guardians Monsters after Dark

Monsters After Dark is definitely scarier than GotG imo. And, for what it's worth, Ghost Galaxy is freakishly scary. It's horror movie scary. We just got back and I felt like DL doesn't play around when it comes to the fear factor! We learned that the hard way with our 9 yr old. WDW rides seem...

    Guardians Character Meets?

My son did the dance party last week but Star Lord and Gamora didn't stay to greet/meet. Groot showed up before the party and it was awesome!

$800 quote for wheelchair acc. shuttle?

We just got back. I'm hoping to do a trip report later this week to share my experience navigating DL as a first timer with a wheelchair (wheelchair is old hat, DL is new:)). So the yellow taxi did not work out well. We arrived and went to the taxi stand. We are a family of 6 and require two...

Recommendations for wheelchair accessible van rentals

We used Wheelchair Vans of America twice. Good experience. No problems. Met us at the airport when we landed and again when we dropped off. However, it looks like Mobility Works has bought them. The same company bought our wheelchair van dealer here in Austin TX. I'm not sure if that has...

$800 quote for wheelchair acc. shuttle?

Just in case anybody searches for a similar issue - Super Shuttle is $47, holds 4 passengers and you can make reservations. Yellow Cab is $40, no reservations required, a wheelchair van should be available at the airport. If not, one will be called and is a few miles away. Taxi reservations are...
