Disney After Hours Q&A and Experiences Thread

Had an amazing time at MK AH last night! We checked in to MK around 6:20 (we have APs) to avoid the wristband line and take advantage of the freakishly low wait times we saw posted on the app! Snagged a DAS for 7DMT-the only thing we needed a DAS for yesterday. Ride list between 6:20-10...

Split-stay with multiple resorts - looking for feedback

We actually prefer Pop over Contemporary (I know it’s not the same hotel as BLT but pretty close) but we’re probably in the minority. 😅 The walk really wasn’t as close as we pictured especially at the end of a long park day. I think that’s a doable plan for a 14 night stay. I have a kid and...

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

Can’t believe how much more manageable the parks have been the 2nd half of our trip compared to the first. Yesterday we did our version of the 4 parks in 1 day challenge and had a blast. We started in Animal Kingdom. I booked a LL for Everest when we woke up. We arrived at AK at 9:20, rode...

    Anyone *enjoy* having MB+

I like the original bands more. They’re less bulky.

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

We had an amazing morning at Magic Kingdom today! I booked a Space LL when I woke up for 9:45. We hopped right on a bus at Pop and scanned in around 9:15. There was no line to scan in. I snagged a DAS for 7DMT and we alternated LL’s and DAS during the morning. We stopped at a photopass station...

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

We were on our way out of the park so we didn't manage to go on it today. Luckily my son cares more about Figment and 3 Caballeros!

Day 2: We slept in a bit and hopped on the Skyliner to Epcot around 10:30. Our focus this morning was more on hitting a few festival booths Vs the rides. We went to Swirled Showcase where my son got the float. He said it was a “7 out of 10.” I went across the lane to the Honey Bee-Stro for the...

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

We arrived at Pop yesterday. I had to work so we only spent around 4 hours at Hollywood Studios but I spent my day starting at 7AM stacking LL’s so we got quite a bit knocked out in 4 hours. I usually don’t opt for LL’s because we’re a neurodivergent family that uses the DAS, but by looking at...

After Hours Events - Ask Questions and Share Experiences Here

Sorry to hear about everyone’s experiences yesterday! We’ve had 1 iffy HS AH event and know how frustrating that can feel.

    Walt Disney World in August

Like others explained, the heat/humidity will be far scarier than the decorations. The decorations are limited to main street and the shops and they lean more towards a fall theme and less of a Halloween theme. I personally loved our August 2023 trip (even though there was extreme heat)...

Our worst day at WDW in 16 years...

Sorry for your experience that day! The parks have definitely been nuts this week. The other day we had to wait in line for Nemo for the first time ever. You know it's busy when you have to wait for Nemo! We've been over spring break before and the waits definitely seem worse this trip.

Which would you choose for 1 night post-cruise?

I'd book Poly if it's available since fireworks and Ohana are priorities. If it's not available, I'd opt for Yacht Club. Contemporary is our least favorite hotel on property. Yacht Club feels much more like a resort, has great restaurants, obviously has Stormalong Bay, and has easy access to the...

Switched from Poly to Beach Club - Right Decision?

Hmm, the $600 cheaper would sell me but I don't think you can go wrong with either. 9 times out of 10 I recommend Epcot area resorts because of their convenience but with 1 day at Epcot and the monorail access from Poly, I'm not sure the convenience factor is big for this trip. There's nothing...

Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

Hi, all! Just booked a last minute trip staying at Pop next weekend to get one more use out of our AP's. It'll likely be our last trip for several years so I can't wait to go ride the Skyliner from one of our favorite resorts and soak up that Disney bubble time.

    Livestreamers/Vloggers

Agree that it gets annoying, but there’s no way Disney is going to stop people from advertising for them for free.

Help me decide. POR vs. BC

We love Epcot area resorts but don’t subscribe to the “once you go deluxe you won’t go back!” train of thought. We have amazing trips at Pop just like we have at Boardwalk. I haven’t stayed at POR but have stayed at POFQ and also aren’t open to close park people. We loved the proximity to Disney...

    WOW - wait times

Yeah, rope drop lines are usually great especially when you’re not doing headliners. That’s awesome about the caretaker card!

    WOW - wait times

Sounds like you zigged while we zagged. The line for Haunted Mansion was 50 min. We left at 3, before party guests arrived unless they have day passes. MK overall was much less busy during our July 4th trip.

Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

Just returned from 9 nights-6 at Boardwalk 3 at Pop. Loved both hotels! No issues with the Skyliner, busses, or friendship boats. Cast members were great across the board. Plenty of cranky families in the heat (mine included!) but nothing outrageous. I’m very glad we have passes because the...
