I second the SW plan. I flew with them for work a while ago. Purchased the extra seat - and got a refund upon my return. It was well worth it to not stress about it. I will say that I've purchased extra seats multiple times to spare myself the humiliation,

I'll second the Big Thunder mountain concern. I rode with my then 8 year old, and I hung on to her tight because the shared lap bar did NOTHING for her!!! :)

Go. Don't feel guilty. If the older one thrives on routine AND you have willing childcare - do it. I did it with a road trip from CO to CA. It worked out fine, everyone survived and thrived. Never cruised or travelled with an infant - but I'm sure others will weigh in on that aspect.

FWIW, we ate at California Grill last week and my DH (who only drinks unsweetened tea) received a little plate with a small pitcher of simple syrup to sweeten his tea. We thought that was kind of neat. :)
