Sheraton Park Hotel vs. Holiday Inn Anaheim

Ditto. I liked the Sheraton Park Hotel when I stayed there a while ago and never experienced any issues with the thermostat. However, it seems as though that might've happened after my stay. My only complaint is that it is kind of far from the park in terms of walking. Although you said you...

Get Away Today vs Undercover Tourist

I've used both and they're quite easy to navigate. Go straight to the gate to get your tickets and they'll print them out there for you--no hassle, no standing at the ticket counter. I've no qualms with either aside from GAT typically seems to sell their tickets at a higher price. Last time we...

Tomorrowland construction update (again), small park report and park pics!

No, it's not, but Disney would more than likely will be liable/finding themselves in litigation for some dumbo who runs off, trips over their own foot, and cracks their front teeth out. Knowing how sue-happy people are, I wouldn't be surprised if someone sees it fit they'll go to town.

Tomorrowland construction update (again), small park report and park pics!

Yeah, when I was there two weeks ago, people were respectful about not charging out when the CMs removed the ropes. When they were given permission to start walking, however, so many people booked it through the castle and were definitely running. Even though we were headed to Peter Pan and...

    November 10-15 Trip Report

At night time when everything is lit up and there's a little chill in the air, the place is freakin' magical. I don't care of the snow is soapy bubbles, Disney managed to make that place even more amazing!

    November 10-15 Trip Report

I just hadn't been back down there for an actual Christmas for 20+ years. It's familiar and yet not, if that makes sense. I grew up with it but I'm also used to sometimes getting snow and it actually being cold for Christmas. It was still so much fun, though. And thank you!

    November 10-15 Trip Report

Just got back from our 5 days at the DLR! I'm pretty tired and I literally just got home about an hour ago, but that's ok. I wanted to write up something before my brain goes ker-splat and I forget all the fresh memories. We stayed at the Best Western Plus Anaheim Inn, which was great, clean...

    **November 2019 check in ***

This will be our second time during the Christmas holidays. As much as I love Halloween time and wish I could've been there this year, the parks are gorgeous during Christmas time. I hope you guys have an awesome trip!

    **November 2019 check in ***

There have been conflicting/vague assumptions and hearsay, but it looks like they'll be wrapping up within the next week or two. I was hoping they would be finished by the time we get to the parks (Nov. 11th), but we'll see. I've been trying to find more recent pictures/videos of the...

    2019 Holiday Time at DLR Superthread: 11/08/19 - 1/06/20!

I guess it'll just be a matter of getting there early, MaxPassin' it, and staying mostly from open to close to get the most out of what we want to do.

    2019 Holiday Time at DLR Superthread: 11/08/19 - 1/06/20!

I'm kind of nervous as to how this will affect the walk-ability of the park during the filming time. Main street and the other areas on the parade route get soooooo messed up even on a regular day. I'll be there the 11th-15th, so we'll have some days without parade filming, but we might have to...

    Swimming in November

Hahah, yeah, true. I live in the PNW so I'm used to colder weather. I'm from California, though, so I'm not a fan of swimming in cold weather even though I prefer cold weather.

    Swimming in November

It depends. Last year it was mid 80s when we went the week before Thanksgiving. During the day it was definitely hot enough to swim in a pool, but after the sun went down it quickly got cooler, so you'd only have a short few hours of pool time. I'm headed down there in less than a week so I'm...

    Matterhorn

No idea as of right now as it was supposed to reopen Nov. 2nd for 'regular maintenance'. I did not think they were going to fix the side that needed fixing during this refurb, so for now it is TBA.

    2019 Holiday Time at DLR Superthread: 11/08/19 - 1/06/20!

It was really neat, too. I sat on a bench near the stage. Really fun to just sit and listen, to watch the other park goers dance and have fun.

    DLR with broken arm

I broke my ankle and went to Disneyland. It's very doable and even more so with a broken arm as getting around the park does not require use of his arms. A cast or some kind of protective casing/sling should be okay to help keep his arm secure, but the only thing I can think of is that he might...

    2019 Holiday Time at DLR Superthread: 11/08/19 - 1/06/20!

Waaahhh! I think waiting until I get to the parks to buy it will be slightly cheaper than ordering online and having to pay for shipping, but that's tempting! Now that I think about it, it wouldn't even get here in time.

    Scan tickets into app

Ah! Good idea. I'll definitely do that now. I had no idea the app could do that, but it makes sense given how technology can be.

    Scan tickets into app

I scanned my ticket into my phone the moment my friend sent them to me through my email! Mainly because I was super excited, but I also wanted to make sure I had some backups just in case anything happened and I needed to access the tickets in a different manner.

Just Back - WDW vs Disneyland thoughts

Same here. The only way I'd do that is if I'd never been before and we had only one day to enjoy a park. I'd choose Disneyland over California Adventure. As much as I love a lot of the attractions in DCA, Disneyland would win by far. Since I've been there a countless number of times and often go...
