How rough of a ride is Matterhorn for kids?

My kid is a fair bit taller than yours (closer to 52") but loved it. We rode it repeatedly a couple of weeks ago.

    *September 2019 Check-In*

I've been stalking the weather forecast and wait times hoping both hold for next week. We have had a miserable rainy summer and these 30 degree days are exactly what I'm after! It's a bonus if they keep the crowds away too.

    💙service dog💙 We did it!!!

It always amazes me that people don't understand. Not everything cute must be pet! What good news @smartlabelprint! Having the funding is great on its own but it's a nice bonus that the timing works well for a trip.

Fantasmic Dining Package - September 2019

I was told the times would become availabe online at 3am or to book by phone at 7 when they opened.

    *September 2019 Check-In*

This is getting a bit ridiculous that the schedule isn't out for early September and no F! packages yet. I called last week and the cast member I talked to was baffled as to why.

Flying into SNA - realistic timing expectations?

That walk through YVR was a bit of a surprise to us on a previous trip. Our kids were toddlers and we were hauling their car seats (big heavy Dionos no less). That's the experience that convinced us to buy lightweight seats for travel. It shouldn't be a big deal most of the time but if you...

Morning power walk - anybody done it?

I've never heard about this but might check it out now. And then I'll have to time myself for a mile to see how bad of an idea it is!

Airport Proximity to DLR and Ground Transportation Information Superthread (READ FIRST POST FOR OVERVIEW!)

@redleader74 if you already have a seat booked for her I would just take the car seat. If you've never done it before, practice doing a baseless installation before you leave and then leave the base at home. Take a look at the manual for instructions for installing on the plane too. As for...

Use ART or any other transportation?

I'd use ART and/or walk. With a 6 and 8 year old you're looking at booster seat issues in an Uber/Lyft that makes them way less convenient. We stayed next door at the Holiday Inn on Walnut a couple of times and have mostly just walked. It was almost always faster than waiting for the ART buses.

Airport Proximity to DLR and Ground Transportation Information Superthread (READ FIRST POST FOR OVERVIEW!)

I'm guessing your daughter is flying on your lap as opposed to having her own seat? In that case, unless you have the original box for the car seat there isn't really a safe way to check it anyway. The ideal situation from a safety perspective is to install the seat on the plane and have her...

    *September 2019 Check-In*

I didn't think of this but we're doing the same thing so I'm curious if you get responses. We're just getting into the 60 day window so I tried to book a Fantasmic package for Sept. 8. It turns out the calendar only goes as far as Aug 31. WOC dining goes to Sept 2 and the dessert package to...

    *September 2019 Check-In*

This will sound crazy but husband was laid off last week so we booked a trip for September. We cancelled some other big spending that was planned so are cashing in some miles and heading to Disneyland instead. The kids don't know yet and we're debating if/how we tell them. Sept 7-14 at the...

Flying with Toddlers - airport transport and stroller questions

We have always flown with car seats (installed on the plane) and never taken a stroller. We rented a stroller from City Stroller rentals three separate times and were very happy with the service. I'm a big fan of using car seats on the plane both for safety and convenience plus we have needed...

    Splash mountain seating with kids

We asked for this when riding for the first time with our 4 year old twins. We were fine with being in separate logs. The cast member allowed it but was not pleased about it and said we wouldn't be allowed again. I get that it's inconvenient for them but we're talking about single seating...

    AM I TOO BIG?

Ugh. Goofy's Sky School. My kids love that ride but I find the ride vehicle horribly uncomfortable. I'm sure being heavier doesn't help but just height alone is an issue on that one.

    CLOSE hotels.. i mean motels...

We took our twins for their 6th birthday in January and it was the first trip without a stroller. We stayed at the Holiday Inn on Walnut, walked at least once most days (still did naps/afternoon breaks), and did 6 days in the park plus the zoo and Knott's. The kids were fine. So if you need...

Blue Bayou Fantasmic seating when pregnant

I would keep the booking and wait and see. You'll probably be fine. You will probably appreciate the seat cushion though! It will depend a bit on how agile you are now and how your pregnancy goes. At about 32 weeks with my twins I was still okay on the floor. Actually, I would stretch out on...

    Ticket questions

We have 5 day park hoppers for our upcoming trip (January 10-20). While we are planning to do a number of other things in the area I would like to add an extra day due to the length of our visit. Mostly, I don't want to miss out on the Haunted Mansion on our last day. If we're going to buy a...

    **January 2018 Check-in Thread**

You're too fast for me. It was $60. I have no idea how elaborate it will be but considering I spent $60 (albeit CAD instead of USD) on the kids' cakes last year I'm not that bothered. What did you decide on for cake?

New Disneyland After Dark Event Series Kicks Off January 18 with Celebration of Vintage Disneyland

This is exactly my dilemma. Also, for the price of the tickets we may as well buy one day tickets and get a full extra day.
