DAS changes coming WDW May 20/ DL June 18, 2024

I 100% understand and up until I just got the DAS yesterday was feeling exactly the same. I will be in the park on 5/22 and plan to ask the blue umbrella CM's how exactly the bathroom swap thing is supposed to work for those with Crohn's and UC. It's not as simple as popping in and out of line...

I arrive 5/21 and the CM told me the 10 min wait will be in effect.

DAS changes coming WDW May 20/ DL June 18, 2024

I’m really glad they did for a variety of reasons. One being, it’s really hard to offer someone an accommodation, like a bathroom pass or return to queue, that doesn’t even exist yet. I’m glad Disney is taking the time to figure out the logistics and train the front line CMs before they promise...

DAS changes coming WDW May 20/ DL June 18, 2024

We are a party of 2. Yes, I think I was 100% under the old rules and probably will be offered another accommodation next time we go (like a return to queue pass). Although not sure how that works with a party of 2 when one needs medical help.

Yes. My son is an adult and he had to accept the terms and conditions and we were logged into his account.

DAS changes coming WDW May 20/ DL June 18, 2024

Just finished with the chat. Logged on at 6:00a PST / 9:00a EST Waited about 30 mins for the chat See below for details. Take aways: we were able to still reserve 2 advance rides for the length of the trip. The DAS expires when the tickets do. She informed us that the new 10 min rules will...

DAS changes coming WDW May 20/ DL June 18, 2024

Great post. But swap the Disneyland dates to 6/16 for this part. You went forward 2 days instead of back. The first dates ALL people doing Advance Video Registration would be May 18 for WDW and June 20 for DL (assuming I counted correctly).

DAS changes coming WDW May 20/ DL June 18, 2024

. The website said guest arriving between now and May 19th. So I do think this is positive that guest registering with trips starting May 20 and later will be under the original rules How can they offer people accommodations that aren’t even in place? Hoping for more positive news today...

I register on Sunday. Not a huge fan of being the guinea pig in this experiment.

I'm thinking just more information on their "return to queue" that was mentioned in the news - including their own ABC affiliates. That shouldn't be a secret. If they want people to use that instead of DAS then we have to understand it.

DAS changes coming WDW May 20/ DL June 18, 2024

So 24 hours before the new "rules' go into effect for those applying and zero updates from Disney. Sigh

I don't believe they are moving to a 3rd party. It will still be CM's online that you register with. What I read was that Inspire Health is training employees and can be brought in to help determine eligibility.

DAS changes coming WDW May 20/ DL June 18, 2024

What’s so weird is my nephew called 4/17 for a 5/17-5/21 visit and they registered him and let him pre book 2 rides for the entire length of his stay. I think it depends which CM you speak with

DAS changes coming WDW May 20/ DL June 18, 2024

This exactly. Now trying being a teen with Crohns and see how this flies. We had a group of men at Disneyland refuse to let my son pass after he left to use the bathroom. They told him his party should come back to him. There are endless post on Dis about people refusing to let people pass them...

Renewed DAS yesterday in person. What I found out...

I posted this in the other thread but I'm sure it will get buried in the debated. My nephew just applied for DAS today at Noon PST / 3:00 EST and waited no more than 10 mins. I'm hoping this means they have hired more CMs for online registration.

DAS changes coming WDW May 20/ DL June 18, 2024

In good news - my nephew just reapplied for his DAS today at Noon PST / 3:00p EST and waited all of 10 mins. I'm hoping this means they have hired more CM's.

I feel the same way about people saying Crohns or UC is a "bathroom issue". Until you have lived it, or had a child with it, you cannot understand it.

Renewed DAS online today for trip next month. Some changes. Some confirmations.

Sorry, what do you mean by this? I've always registered 30 days before the 1st day of my visit. Is that not the case anymore?
