Villages Nature review and directions tip

We just returned from a stay at Davy Crockett. Because the pool is under contruction we were able to use Villages Nature for free. The pools at Villages Nature were fantastic! They have indoor pools (wave pool, rock climbing wall, children's play area), outdoor pools (lily pads, lazy river)...

Flying to Paris is an hour and 1/2 enough time to get through Customs in Iceland?

Just returned from flying from the US to Paris on Icelandair. Our flight went great on the way to Paris. I can confirm that you do not need to pick up your luggage. 1hr 15 min was really the perfect layover. We deplaned, used the restrooms, bought water (couldn't find any drinking...

Favorite Pools (Davy Crockett's is closed)

Just got back. They were replacing the roof of the Davy Crockett pool. The person at the front desk said some of the wood was rotten and she was not aware of any changes being made to the actual pool. FYI, the pools at Villages Nature were fantastic!

I don't know what the refurb entails, but I will post back after our trip if I find out. Thank you marcpsych and micksn for the very useful feedback!

Flying to Paris is an hour and 1/2 enough time to get through Customs in Iceland?

We are also flying Iceland Air with a similar layover time. My husband called to confirm this was okay and they said it's standard to have a short layover because the airport is so small and they have the flexibility to hold planes if your first flight is a little bit late.

    Hotels and Air Conditioning

When we stayed in Davy Crockett ranch (2015) the A/C worked great! And it was very very hot while we were there (44 deg C).

Using Verizon phone in DLP and Paris?

I used it 3 years ago in Paris and there were strict data limits, but overall it was fine. I had turned off all app updating and location services to minimize data usage. I only checked email from the hotel while on wifi. I was doing fine, and then I had to use gps because we got lost on our...

Favorite Pools (Davy Crockett's is closed)

We're staying at Davy Crockett ranch for a second time this June with 7 and 9 year olds. Unfortunately their lovely pool is closed. But it says we can use any other hotel pool (except Disneyland Hotel), including the new Villages Nature. Has anyone been to Villages Nature? The pictures on...

OFFICIAL New Animal Kingdom Experiences UPDATE 5/28: Reports from first night in Post #2

Here now. I don't see tree of life start times on first page. Guessing it changes due to sunset. Has anyone seen it light up before the 9:30 JB show? Kids are having a hard time with late nights so we'll need to leave immediately after. Thanks!

Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

What are the options for getting to magic kingdom for a ppo breakfast adr? (Sorry if this has been asked, I am on my phone and google didn't have anything useful on first few results.)

Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Does this mean we can still play volleyball? We're doing a split stay at CB and YC, and from what I hear the volleyball at CB is not accessible. DH wanted a beach vacation and the kids wanted Disney, and this was our compromise. Better safe than sorry though...

Does anyone know if playing beach volleyball at Martinique is still an option?

Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT Information & Questions

Somehow our trip is around the corner and I realized I need to put together our room request. We've booked a preferred room (all that was available). Martinique's quiet pool is under refurb, so I was going to request Trinidad North. But then I read that Martinique tends to get the bus before...

    Florida Wildlife at WDW

Signs make a big difference here, in keeping people out of the water for e coli. The one time I saw someone ignore them an employee walked over, told them to get out, and then came back and tied caution tape between the sand and water. Disney has a lot of visitors who don't speak English, so I...

    Florida Wildlife at WDW

Wait, there are brain eating amoeba in Florida? Wow, there definitely needs to be warnings about that! Lakes near me (north) sometimes close because of e coli, but that will make you sick, not do permanent damage! And here, whenever the bacteria counts are high, there are very clearly posted...

    Parents blaming others

Every single bridge here (up North) has a sign that says beware, bridge freezes before road. When I was a teenager learning to drive I asked my Dad why they put those signs up, because I thought it was obvious. He explained that to visitors from warm climates it isn't obvious that a bridge can...

Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT Information & Questions

We are doing a split stay between CBR and YC. Just got our MYW tickets in the mail. Silly me, it never occurred to me that the free mini-golf vouchers would only be good for the first part of our trip at CBR. Originally I had planned on walking to Fantasia from YC. However, now I'm...

Magic Kingdom opening hours extended for selected dates in June

Interesting, they are doing every W/Th except the 29-30. We have a PPO ADR on the 30th. It's a "best" day to go since the 29th has PM EMH at MK, and the 30th has EM EMH at Epcot. I have a child who doesn't do well with the crowds at RD, so I'm willing to pay for breakfast to guarantee a calm...

    Bathing suits in parks?

My daughters have done this at AK for Kali River Rapids. They wore rash guards and swim shorts, and it was fine.
