Did you change rooms? I love the balconies at the GCH and it would put a damper on my trip if I couldn’t utilize them due to smoke!

Yikes! I hope the jackhammering is done by the time we arrive in early November. I don’t mind some construction but super loud noise will definitely bother me while I’m trying to relax at the pool. I wonder if they ever allow use of the DL or PP pools in these instances?

I have a standard room booked in November. What are the best room reservation requests to ask for these days in order to get the best room possible (definitely a balcony, better view would be awesome). We once had a standard room that was near the DVC wing so we looked out over Goofy's sky...

We had woc fp in the “blue” section earlier this month. We got there right as it was beginning and got the most awesome view. All the way to the right of the section, towards the back, literally right up against the rope where the chairs for the dessert seating were. There’s a tree right there...

Last year the the week of president’s day was super crowded. Like 30 min to get through security from Harbour blvd at park opening crowded. Get there EARLY and Get maxpass and you’ll be ok.

I wasn’t expecting to see it so soon either! There was no hint of it when we went to bed Thursday night but it was completely set up by early Friday morning. Those GCH elves work fast! I would’ve snuck a peek in the wee hours if I’d had any inkling they were setting it up that night.

These pictures were taken early in the morning or late at night. It doesn’t feel too dark in the lobby. With the tree and garlands up the lobby has a nice twinkly glow.
