    Early Entry Speculation

The no housekeeping rule isn't just Disney. We stayed at the Knotts Berry Farm Hotel this past week and were told they couldn't come in our room unless we had been there 5 days or longer. I had no idea until we got there. The biggest problem for us was the trash. Luckily, I had brought some...

When are you planning to return to DLR?

My oldest 2 kids are graduating high school this year. I had planned to do a little more traveling and family activities before they start college. I had even considered AP's. As life turns out, everything has been cancelled this year. We finally made it to the beach last week. It was so nice to...

DLR REOPENING SUPERTHREAD (DL & DCA TBA; VGC POSTPONED; DTD OPENED 7/09/20 & BVS 11/19/20): KEEP CHECKING FIRST PAGE FOR OFFICIAL DLR UPDATES!

Earlier there was a really good deal for Thanksgiving through GAT that I thought I had missed, but maybe they pulled the availability anticipating that they would be closed. Sad.

Eating in the parks on a budget

Does your family like bread? We are a family of 6 and one of our favorite snacks is a large loaf of sourdough bread from the bread factory at DCA - usually shaped like a Mickey head. Go inside and you can get butter to go with it. We all get pretty full for less than $10. It works great if you...

LMTC Disneyland tickets no longer available?/Information on Refunds

This is a great price! With the new voucher system I'm curious if the gap between the LMTC prices and the gate prices will be bridged when upgrading to an AP. Saving $69.23 on an AP would be nice! Has anyone gotten quotes on 3 and 4 day PH tickets? Maybe I missed it in the thread.

Make a DIY Disneyland ticket wristband?

I think some of us might be talking about two different things. To GET a FP at a kiosk, I think you would definitively need your actual ticket to put into the slot. If I remember correctly, even a plastic pouch is too thick to fit. However, to USE a FP to enter a line, I think a wristband would...

Make a DIY Disneyland ticket wristband?

I always assumed that the barcode on the initial printout was different than the barcode on the ticket that you receive at the gate, but now I'm wondering. Maybe it is the same. When MP was introduced we tried one or two trips where our family of six had a copy of our barcode in a lanyard. I...

    Future of Fastpass!

I was under the impression that the new kiosks were just consolidating locations and making them digital, not changing how the fast pass distribution system works. In the past, people using traditional FP could not get the cancelled FP like MP users could. If that is still true, there is no need...

    Future of Fastpass!

As odd as it sounds, I feel like I am able to leave the real world behind more with MaxPass because it is so convenient and makes our visits so much more relaxing.

Park hop only one day ticket?

So if you look at it on a price per day, park hopping for one day is really expensive.

First-timer Vet w/ PTSD: Need tips on where to de-stress

One quiet spot is the pathway near Harbor Galley. If you go to the right, towards ROA, there is a path that leads you past ROA and back up to Critter Country. I'm pretty sure there are a few tables there.

Flex Pass Superthread: Disneyland Resort Introduces New Annual Passport that Combines Value and Flexibility

I've read the last few pages, but not the entire thread, so this may have already been answered. I know the Saturdays in October are blocked for Disneyland. How fast after the 30 day mark did reservations run out? October 19th is almost 30 days out, so that one went pretty quickly. Also, if you...

Plan on proposing at DisneyLand next week, looking for some tips

Once we were going through security at the same time as an international youth soccer club. They were quite surprised to find out that their film crew was not welcome with all their equipment. We didn't stick around to see how that was resolved. All the kids were waiting in line to buy their...

Lack of crowds and Disney's response

My teenage son just said, "Mom! Did you know hardly anyone was at Disneyland this summer?!" Ha! I don't know where he heard that, but yes I was fully aware. His comment was like putting salt on an open wound. I watched the reports of low crowds and wished it made financial sense for us to go...

New SWGE Superthread! Now Open to All! (6/24/2019)

We haven't been yet, and this is not making me excited either. We go to Disneyland to get away from technology. My kids only bring their phones for emergencies and I only use mine for photos and MP.

Lack of crowds and Disney's response

Same here on the ticket part. I just can't handle $214 for a one day PH ticket with MP. Multiply that times our family of six, plus all the other expenses... not happening. We'll wait until AP's fit in our schedule/budget again.

Lack of crowds and Disney's response

"tanked" is pretty subjective - to me if attendance is well below Disney's projections that means it tanked. I've seen pictures of Fantasyland lines completely empty after park opening, including Dumbo. People are riding Peter Pan multiple times with 15 min waits. Whatever you want to call it...

Lack of crowds and Disney's response

FWIW - I don't have a problem that they built a land that appears targeted toward adults (mostly men) who have money to spend. We don't expect to enjoy every part of DL and DCA. However, I think Disney has a problem that they spent so much $$$$$$$$ on it and the opening of this new land has...
