Macron discussing opening of France to vaccinated Americans... Anyone else see this...

That article is from the Daily Mail which is an absolute rag so I'd take it with a pinch of salt. I imagine flights will resume from UK to US first so once we know when that is we can place bets for France and USA.

Updated: From midnight on Friday, residents of 16 departments will only be allowed to leave home under specific circumstances, though the restrictive measures are less strict than the first lockdown last March. The restrictions will be introduced in Paris and its surrounding Ile-de-France...

    Delayed 2021 Reopening

I think at this point it'll be summer holidays so July, we got a refund on our May trip when the government announced UK reopening dates as knew there was no chance.

    Paris Tour From DLP Hotel

There are tours that leave from DLP including evening ones though I've never done one. It you're short on time this is the best way to do it. You can also get into the train Paris and just walk around. This is what we tend to do if we opt to visit Paris. We like a loop around Notre Dame and...

Planning for Paris and DLP, April/May or November 2022 - Come on in and lets all plan our trips together

I once made the UGG mistake. I had to get plastic bags from the gift shop and use them as shoe liners as they were my only shoes haha

    DLP closing again Oct 30!!

Just seen this, I've been keeping an eye on France's lockdown but hadn't seen this update! That'll have put the nail in the coffin on the May Disney trip. I'll wait for them to announce delayed closure and then call for a refund. Thanks for having your eye on the news!

PSA - DISNEYLAND PARIS EUROSTAR CANCELLED - TRIP CANCELLATION

Oh no I never book travel direct with Disney it's usually cheaper to do it seperate and I like to assess lots of options. Eurostar cancelled and refunded. I'm flying out to Paris (wanted to visit the Catacombs) with Vuelling, so will see if they'll refund. At this point I'm not going to...

PSA - DISNEYLAND PARIS EUROSTAR CANCELLED - TRIP CANCELLATION

I got a text telling me the same. Our trip is May. Awkwardly we were flying out and Eurostar back, so I suspect I'm going to get lumped with a flight voucher

    What Makes DLP Unique?

Just realised I slightly misread your post hahah. I do think that Disney Paris has a slightly European nonchalance that contrasts differently to the American every-but-the-kitchen-sink service. Personally I prefer it as I am not keen on American OTT service. The food is obviously dire and not...

    What Makes DLP Unique?

I'm not American, but I have been to every single Disney park in the world so I'm gonna chuck my two cents in. Disneyland Paris has the best castle, and I love the whimsical park design. It has the best mansion ride, the best version of Big Thunder and the best Space Mountain. I love it's...

Tracing my family History back through Europe... updated 6/12

As far as I'm aware you need a parent who is of the country of origin to hold dual citizenship. This may be different in some EU countries, but is definitely the case in the UK. Even marrying wouldn't get you citizenship, just a spousal one which is different. As far as researching your...

    DLP closing again Oct 30!!

Oh I'm sorry for everyone who has had cancelled trips - it's so hard when you're desperately looking for something to look forward to. We're booked for early May and I don't feel too optimistic about that going ahead.

Planning for Paris and DLP, April/May or November 2022 - Come on in and lets all plan our trips together

There will be a fair few decorations up in Paris and the Christmas markets will be up and running. Agree with Karin, if you're from Florida then you'll find it pretty cold and as Disney is quite flat and open the wind chill is really something.

Planning for Paris and DLP, April/May or November 2022 - Come on in and lets all plan our trips together

We usually go to Disneyland Paris for my birthday (29th November) and it's usually manageable crowds, Christmas decorations are up and the festive atmosphere is well and truly there. I'd recommend that week for sure.

Anyone think that October or November 2021, that travel to Paris and Disneyland Paris will happen?

Hello! Obviously none of us have a crystal ball, but I have flights booked from London to Boston in October and I'm pretty confident it'll happen. I reckon short trips will be back on the cards by April / may, international by September / October. If you're going to book, do so flexibly though.

    DLP closing again Oct 30!!

We were due to arrive December 12 and I've been expecting this announcement for a month or so. We moved to May and actually got a better deal (half board plus and 100 euro gift voucher) so clearly Disney are keen for people not to cancel. Fingers crossed for a brighter 2021.

Magical Shuttle Suspends Disneyland Paris Service For Winter 2020

I'm so sorry about your attempted bag snatch, how horrible! Ive also done a slow train from Disney to Gare De Lyon. Both seemed perfectly safe to me, on par with most other European trains. Of course, watch out in the main terminals.
