Yep. Bad over here too. Can't even get this to post. (Unless you see this...then it finally worked.) I also keep getting a pop up "Oops! We ran into some problems" error

    Closing Time!

Just got an email from Cammy and our seller's notary appointment isn't until May 8th. Closing scheduled for May 9th. Not real thrilled with this. We just booked flights for our January trip. Really hope we can still get a room at our home resort by the time the points finally arrive into our...

    DVC Disneyland Tips

I agree about Disneyland vs Magic Kingdom. I think for me, the biggest thing is how superior Fantasyland is. I love the look of it...plus all the extra rides. Alice, Mr. Toad's, and Casey Jr. are 3 of my favorite attractions. I think they just pack a lot into a tiny space. Some people might...

Buying Resale which would you choose

For me, it all came down to where I wanted to stay the most. I mean, I've only ever stayed at one...and I loved it and that's where I purchased. However, I pretty much already chose it as my 'top' pick just based on pictures and videos. Yes, I did look at other factors like length of deed and...

Which resorts have wait staff at the pool?

Dumb question - what's a reasonable tip for someone like this? What time of year was it? We typically go in Winter so wondering if this is a thing then or not.

    DVC Disneyland Tips

I think 3 days is doable. But we like to do 5 because we enjoy a leisurely pace and lots of breaks. Early-mid June has grad nights, we we prefer to avoid. We were there in late June 2022 and had a great time (minus the covid we caught which made us leave early.) It was quite warm but nowhere...

    DL without Magic Bands-how?

Overall, they definitely aren't necessary. However, we used them for the first time at WDW this year and it was really nice to not have to get out my phone at every DAS/G+ return and then have to scan through different barcodes for each person. Instead we each just held our wrist to the scanner...

VWL Groupies & Lovers Thread (Special Collectors Edition 2.0) updated 21 June 2023

Well, Southwest released flights for January so I booked OMA to MCO for late January! Still haven't booked our room though because we are waiting for our new contract to close. Just signed closing documents yesterday so it will be a while. Hopefully rooms will still be available when my points...

We decided to stick with 1 UY for both WDW and DLR because I can definitely see us wanting to combine them some years. I just didn't want the hassle of more than one UY. I think this will be better for me so I don't try to purchase too many contracts. Ha!

The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Owners & Lovers Group - 2.0

I love my jetted tub at home. But only after I cleaned it 1000 times after buying the house. I don't like the idea of using one in a hotel room though. Even with a soaker tub (or a regular tub when our son was younger), I clean it before use. But I'm not about to bring tub jet cleaner with me. Ha!

    **June 2024 Check-in**

Agreed on the lack of humidity. I still get hot/sweaty at Disneyland (especially in late summer/Fall.) But it isn't a stifling heat like in the summer in the midwest where I live. Or worse, in Florida. We refuse to ever go to WDW in the summer.

So I know self-parking is free when staying in the villas. But I assume if you do valet, you still have to pay the full $70 per day for that?

    Moving Forward... More DVC.

This will not thrill my husband. But he'll just have to deal, I guess. Thankfully, we don't use our vehicle too much. I'm hoping we can park in that little lot out front while we check-in/take our bags to our room. And then we'll make our grocery run. I suppose he can just drop me and my son...

The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Owners & Lovers Group - 2.0

I'd be perfectly fine with that. I mean, I have yet to step foot in the current villas. But based on photos, I'd be fine if they didn't change much. I definitely want the murphy beds. And a soaking tub would be better than (icky) jetted tubs. I'm probably the minority, but I hope they put in...

    **June 2024 Check-in**

When we went in late June 2022 it was very hot. Shorts and t-shirts. And I even brought an umbrella for shade.
