DVC welcome home greeting at park entry?

It worked for me in March but this trip now it hasnt worked once. In fact I don’t even get a green light most of the time, just a strange blue one and then the CM telling me it’s registered and I’m good to go. i wondered if it was my magic band, that I have had for at least 5 years, is finally...

Help! First timers - how do we get from WDW to Miami port and back again?

We are going on our first DCL cruise in September and are staying at WDW either side of it. We had thought that the DCL buses that run between the resorts and the port would be how we would get to the cruise but I can’t find any information anywhere about how you book them or indeed if they will...

Anyone managed to book a DAS using the chat facility?

Yes we phoned them in the end, and they said the same, but that there were less queues to do so now!

Any UK members managed to purchase an AP?

Same here. Have two trips booked this year, after so many previous cancellations due to covid, DH and DS have APs from when the first trip was originally booked for 2020. I had a 21 day ticket that Disney wouldn’t allow me to roll over into another year so I had to get a refund, and now can’t...

Anyone managed to book a DAS using the chat facility?

Has anyone in the UK managed to book a DAS through the chat facility from the UK? Every time I click on the link I get redirected to the home page of the UK site…which doesn’t seem to let you visit any DAS pages.

In your opinion, Do you think annual passes are coming back this month? Any intel out there?

Also desperately waiting. Two trips this year and really hoping APs are back and I can at least upgrade, or we are going to be spending a lot more time at universal, whereas we were hoping just to stick to Disney this year.

    International Owners Expiring Point Extensions

Same! Am waiting nervously. Have yours appeared yet? Do we need to call?

Points extension- how long did it take?

We had 452 points expire on 1st October, and Disney had told us they would extend them until May 2022, but that they would disappear out of our account when they expired and reappear “after a few days”. They haven’t reappeared yet, and I’m getting nervous. Not least because now we can actually...

    August 2021 - will I be going ?

It's the hope that kills....https://www.reuters.com/world/uk/us-british-leaders-expected-work-reopen-travel-uk-statement-2021-06-09/ We are booked for August, it's been postponed twice already from August 2020 and Jan 2021. Realistically we can't take a decision on whether to cancel until BA...

    Any USA entry updates?

We were booked for August 2020 and rescheduled it all to Jan 2021. Waiting to see what happens, if we are allowed into the US and can get insurance I think we will go. We have DVC and will lose some points if we have to move it past April. Fingers crossed for everyone waiting but i don’t hold...

First time post - most economical resort for UK couple (plus one child?)

We did something similar to you when our kids were small. We initially bought 100 points resale at Old Key West, which allowed us to go to a studio every other year for two weeks in late August. This worked really well for us. We love Old Key West, it has a lovely laid back friendly vibe. Then...

Favourite Hotel (wdw) on or off site?

Onsite we've done AllStar Movies, Caribbean Beach, Old Key West and Animal Kingdom Villas. We love Old Key West. Off site we've done Bonnet Creek Hilton, Downtown Disney Hilton, Buena Vista Suites and a villa at Windsor Hills. Bonnet Creek Hilton had a brilliant pool with lazy river. Windsor...

    Mary Poppins Returns

Saw it today and really enjoyed it. Of course it's never going to improve on the original, but I thought it was great in its own right. Definitely worth seeing.

Website down for booking this morning

I’m trying to book at 7 month window - it lets me get all the way through, says there’s availability, then when I go to confirm the booking it says “sorry the room you are booking is no longer available, press refresh to try again”. So I press refresh, it shows as available again, but I can’t...

    Best OKW Studio Locations

We like buildings 23-27 - close enough to walk to the pool and Hospitality House in a couple of minutes, close to the first bus stop into the park (great after a late night in the park) and also for buses going to the park, if you just miss one, you have time to walk up to Hospitality House to...

    lockers at waterparks

Never had a problem either, in July or August. I always feel they are secure, the area is busy and no doubt covered by CCTV. Because they are pincode locked rather than a key I would imagine it would be hard to break into them.

Blue Badge parking permit - Osceola County no longer doing this in advance

Same here, we just tie it to the rear view mirror with a lanyard and we've never had a problem at Disney or Universal.
