No replies (which is fine... my post was boring ;) ) but as an update, I could not get Sci-Fi at 180 days, but did get an ADR for 50s Prime Time (which we've eaten at the last 2 trips). I had to call both T-Rex and Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' directly, but I got the times I wanted.

For my picky eater we went with Via Napoli (no dining plan). It was also more budget friendly as we could split the pizza and also order appetizers.

ADRs are so much easier to do when you're staying at a Disney resort! I much prefer the 180+10 for ADRs. But I did get what I wanted for my EPCOT day on 8/31.... so far so good! Our family goal is to have dinners at different restaurants than prior trips. Last trips we've dined at LeCellier...

Thanks. Disney is great with that - we ate at Yak and Yeti and the chef came out and spoke to me (a LOT of dishes there have cilantro).

Do you remember/know if that had Cilantro in it? I'm allergic but otherwise the salad looks great and our plan for our MK days is QS dinners only.

My advice would be read the posts here - you'll get a feel for things. And another piece of advice is to be flexible - the best plans may not always come to fruition. I've had trips both on site and off site -- both have been magical. The main negative to off site, IMO, is the the 30 day fast...

After my last trip (August 2018) I said we'd never go back in August again... my son had heat exhaustion and we lost a day of our trip. Well... we're going back this August. LOL! Though most of the trip is in September. ;) We're arriving very late on 8/29 and will be in the parks 8/30 to 9/4...

Question: do the frigs in standard rooms have a freezer? I was under the impression that they did not... but if they do, I'd use that trick to freezing water bottles.

I agree... the adult menu looks OK to me -- I actually like more of the choices now and $55 per adult for an appetizer, entree and dessert doesn't seem too far off base price-wise. But the kids menu seems quite overpriced at $35 and the two appetizers -- iceberg wedge salad and a fruit & cheese...
