Are dining reservations just extra difficult to get right now?

Why are first 2 weeks of December prime for DVC members? I ask this as a DVC who has never even thought about first two weeks of December based on our schedules (which revolve around school and kids’ sports seasons). Is it because the resorts cost less points and they can still see the holiday...

    VIP tour tipping

The guides used to eat with families pre-COVID and Disney paid for their meals. Since COVID, guides don’t eat with families (at least not since last we were there a few months ago) and get their own Disney bought food when you eat. In terms of tips, it’s all over the board. The best advice...

    Help! DL Newbie Here!

Hi All, We have been to Disney World a million times (we live on the east coast) and are planning our first trip to Disney Land this summer (late August). While I help plan all our friends Disney World trips, I am at a complete loss about where to start for Disneyland. The only thing I know...

    Outdoor dining in Disney Springs?

Our favorite outdoor dining was Boathouse. Their outdoor space is huge and tables are well spaced.

The week before Christmas is $650 per hour and it jumps to $750 on December 24 through New Year.

    Resort Room Decorations for Christmas

Do you know of any delivery services that will bring a Christmas tree and/or other decorations to our Disney resort for Christmas? I know that Disney Floral has done it in years past, but wondering now during COVID.

    Christmas Confusion

We've been for Christmas a few times and will go again this year. That said, if this is your first Christmas trip and you plan for this to be your only Christmas trip, I would wait for next year. There is so much that will be different this year that it will not be a typical Christmas trip. So...

    1BR’s that sleep 4

I hadn't realized that you could now request extra towels. Do you have to turn in the used ones or could you have 2 sets to keep using?

    Trader Sam's on a weekend

Trader Sams is awesome, but there are only a couple tables that will seat six. There’s a high too by the bar, a big table in the corner and maybe 2 more that’ll seat 6. You may wait hours for one of those tables. If you’re willing to stand, you’ll still wait, but not as long.

    Biergarten or Via Napoli

We love both, but Biergarten is definitely more fun (as long as you go when there will be a show - check that before making an ADR).

    New Years Eve

You’ll need to book ADRs for NYEs at EPCOT right at 180 days or soon thereafter. It’s very crowded on NYE because of all the alcohol availability. We ate at Germany around the German New Year time and they do a live countdown and party to celebrate. It was lots of fun!

Help: Debating between California Grill or Narcoossee's

CA Grill is a must do restaurant for us because of the quality of the food, the service, and the phenomenal view. We love their flatbreads, sushi, filet, bison, fish, and desserts. It is high end without being stuffy. We tried Narcosees on our last visit thinking about how the fireworks view...

    Booked bounceback

Beach Club is one of our favorite hotels for the very reason that you can easily walk to EPCOT or HS. It's a great resort and I wouldn't hesitate staying there again ... and again.

    Primetime, Sci-Fi or Hollywood&Vine

Each of the 3 has been in our HS rotation for years for different reasons. The characters at H&V can be worth it but generally the food and service are awful and the character interactions just not the best probably because they have too many people in there at once and it's incredibly chaotic...

Menu Change at San Angel Inn

They had a chicken dish with chocolate mole sauce about 8 years ago and then it disappeared off the menu. If they've brought that same dish back, you won't be disappointed. It was fabulous. Everyone in our family ate it and loved it ... and then it was gone. Fingers crossed.

Have you brought your picky kids to California Grill?

CG is the best place ever for a picky kid. They will pretty much get you anything your child wants (within reason, obviously!). They used to give goldfish crackers as an appetizer to keep the little kids busy. My kids are a bit older now, so not sure if they still do that.

    Best Disney Springs Restaurants

We currently have an ADR for Homecomin', but after reading all of the negative reviews, I'm starting to doubt our decision. What is your favorite Disney Springs restaurant and why? We've been to Boat House, Bongos, House of Blues, Morimoto, Rainforest, Raglan Road, and T-Rex over the years...
