Is it rude to ask guests to attend/pay for a destination wedding?

We had a destination wedding (at WDW) and I researched wedding etiquette before planning; guests are expected to pay their own way. Honestly, half the people who attended the wedding would have needed to travel and pay for a hotel anyhow so it was really no more expensive for them to attend the...

    Wedding Drama Rant.. Advice Needed

Hi- Disney bride here who did NOT invite any of my parents friends saying that I think you should probably allow her to invite some. A couple points here. We had an Escape wedding so were limited to 18 guests. My husband, who is not close to his family, just wanted to elope. I am super...

    Brunch Buffet Pricing

Well, I was an Escape bride and added on the meal so, no planning session. I just looked through my old e-mails. I sent my request on Tuesday and had pricing back on Friday. I do not specifically remember the chicken, we did have it on our menu. The crepes were amazing, I do specifically...

    Brunch Buffet Pricing

Yes! That is a logical assumption and one that I made as well. When I asked, I was told that the menus are created so that the recipes work together. Such as multiple recipes use ingredients A,B, and C. By removing one of those recipes and adding a new recipe, now, they need to buy A, B, C...

    Brunch Buffet Pricing

Hi. I got married in December 2013. I asked for a quote to customize the buffet menu, basically swapping items from the less expensive buffet and the most expensive buffet. The quote came out higher than the more expensive buffet. In the end, we just went with the most expensive buffet. It...

How to compromise between buffet and plated lunch

We had a brunch buffet at The Attic and it was AWESOME. Our party was only 20 people but among just those had several with special dietary needs. There was no much variety, everyone was really happy and the food delicious.

    Reservations for shows

I went on an Allure cruise and found that reservations WERE important. The people who did not have a reservation had to wait in a long standby line and then were let in after those with reservations were seated, and there were not enough seats for everyone. I was not able to see the Broadway...

    Disney wedding planning NERVOUS

Hi - I had an Escape wedding so there wasn't that much planning, though I did add a catered meal, extra floral, and a dessert party. And yeah, at times I felt like I wasn't getting enough attention. But, here is how I looked at it......I have watched a lot of friends get married and agonize...

New Seasonal Pricing for Disney Weddings in 2017

Yepper, I know. They were when I got married in 2013. I was just trying to compare all the stuff I got with my Escape wedding 3 years ago which is now basically how much a Memories costs during the high season (and offers so much less).

New Seasonal Pricing for Disney Weddings in 2017

Wow! That pretty much guarantees I won't be having my 5 year vow renewal using the Memories Collection unless they revert the pricing before December 2018. The new price is pretty darn close to my Escape Wedding which included a lot more AND an annual pass!

If you could pick 2 of the following restaurants ...

I would pick La Hacienda and Tutto Italia. Notes below. Epcot La Hacienda de San Angel - really, really fantastic food. Good service. Some seats have views of Illuminations. Nine Dragons - have not eaten Marrakesh - wonderful food, fun entertainment, best service we've probably ever had at...

    Boma or Sanaa?

They are both fantastic. As others have said, if you think it might be difficult to pick something off a menu, go with Boma and its buffet offers many options. I would happily eat at either any day.

Kona Cafe, Contempo Cafe and Grand Floridian Cafe....I don't need ADR's right?

Kona has been packed every time I have been there, I would hate to waste valuable park time waiting to eat any more than I have to.
