    Do we even need G+?

Agree with the previous poster. You actually have the ideal G+ situation. Even if you get a later start, many of the tame rides are still less than a 20 minutes wait right now (3:40) for the G+ times and most are near walkon times for G+. Start watching the tip board. You could very well figure...

Everything Genie, Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane - Please Read Posts 1-7

I think I am close to understanding this. One last question. If I book a LL at 7 for 9:10 time at MK on a day MK opens at 9 and I tap in to the ride at 9:15, am I then eligible to book another LL immediately or do I still need to wait until 11 to book another one?

Rides with lines like Avatar at WDW

Thank you for the info on registering. I was figuring they were kind of evaluating him. I don't know what made me think that! I was really worrying about how that would go. As to what he has trouble with in terms of lines, its the enclosed disorganized lines. We are mostly disneyland people...

WDW Summary of NEW DAS changes and Disney Genie - Post ONE is an updated summary

Ahhh. Thank you! Also helpful to know I only need to have him there to qualify, not to finish the advanced selections. I have a short workable window with him present and within the timeframes.

Rides with lines like Avatar at WDW

Last time we went to WDW without a DAS because it was under the old system where you could get 3 fastpasses in advance. With that and stacking, we did not end up in very many enclosed lines that did not move. We could not get Avatar fastpasses and tried the regular line (luckily at closing or...

WDW Summary of NEW DAS changes and Disney Genie - Post ONE is an updated summary

I think we are going to need DAS with my son. I am not sure I am understanding the pre-register timeline. Is the earliest I can register and be able to get advance selections for our whole trip 30 days from the last park day? I always struggle with counting days. The fist day is July 31 and the...

GENERAL ADVICE FOR TOTAL DISNEY NEWBIES!

As someone who has done disney a lot, I am just going to comment on one thing. For years we stayed in a nice nearby, but offsite, timeshare. It had a kitchen, a great pool with low crowds etc. I thought people who paid those prices to stay onsite were nuts. I thought leaving the stress of...

HELP ME DECIDE! Change park days? Flight cancelations got me worried!

Do you have direct flights? If so, I would just roll the dice. I think you have enough cushion that if your flight gets cancelled, you should be able to get somewhere close to orlando and then drive from there worst case. I would maybe book a car through costco at a couple of the closest...

    Aladdin merch in the parks

I had better luck in DCA. I found some cute things in that store that wraps around the end of the corner towards Hollywood land at the bottom the main entrance walkway there. The one that usually has purse displays.

9 year old chronic pain in Disneyland.

Unless the rules have changed, you can't get a DAS pass for anything that a wheelchair would fix. You can use a stroller or a wagon (that meets disney requirements) as a wheelchair by getting the tag. With this tag you can take your stroller through the lines right up to where you board on many...

7 year old with autism and mobility issues...

Not sure about links here but you can rent a MaClaren Major Elite from City Stroller Rentals. Says it holds a kid up to 60 pounds but I am pretty sure it really goes up to 110 pounds. Also says it is not foldable, but that is because of the footrest. We used one for years and it is a godsend...

    Waterparks near DLR?

Some of the beaches have waves that almost as good as a wave pool ;) Venice Beach and Santa Monica are good decently close beaches and a fun day trip for kids.

    Disneyland 10 days post surgery?

I think it kind of depends what surgery you are having. If you are having your stomach muscles cut, I would say all those rides are out. If its just a top layer of skin incision it might be different. Can you schedule the surgery after the trip?

First time: Disney World Vet: Dining Commendations

I would consider doing your sit down meals at places that also get you an experience. So like Blue Bayou Fantasmic package (its not the best quality food but its so cool to eat in the ride and it gets you fantasmic seating). The Frozen package at Carthay Circle and the dessert party at for...

Sacrifice a Disney day for a Great Wolf Lodge day?

We did GWL once with a groupon during a disney trip and it was one of our best vacations ever. We actually stayed there because it was a nice hotel for cheap and went to disney via uber most days. my son (about 10 at the time) loved the place. At first I tried to keep track of him and I...

    Best option for disability parking.

Not sure how far your hotel is but you could also Uber if you do not have anyone who needs a car seat. That is way easier than parking and considerably less than the parking fee if you are staying in a convention center hotel.

Courtyard Theme Park or Residence Inn Conv??

It kind of depends on the age of your kids and if the pool with slides is important. If the bed set up works at Residence Inn that sounds like a much better deal if you have a few people. Free breakfast is a giant savings. The walk is longer but it is an easier and nicer walk for sure. You...

For thoses that have stayed at both DLR and Courtyard Theme Park-which would you advise?

I was going to throw out there that you might also consider PPH. You get the onsite benefits (that DCA EMH is worth its weight in gold if you love any of the rides there), but at a cheaper price. My favorite is actually doing PPH club level. With 4 people in a room, I actually felt like that...

Need help with hotel between Disney and Universal

I think I am going to do two days at Disney (Anaheim Marriot) and one day at a hotel near universal. That means on universal day we are going to have to wake up near disney and drive to Universal, but at least I am planning on going to that park. That seems to make the most sense.

Need help with hotel between Disney and Universal

I have thought about that. A lot. The days are all weekdays. So I guess the best bet traffic wise is to stay close to universal and then drive to Disney. Only problem is, I do not want to do the Disney day. Which means I am driving there and back twice. If I stay at Disney, then I am...
