Montana & Alberta, Canada: Roaming the Rockies Meets Thread

Allaboutthemouse, Thanks for posting - i have been looking for a Montana trip and the we liked (not disney) is no longer offered. It is on the expensive side but alot included and I would be more comfortable with someone else doing the itinerary. Thinking about the Aug 2016 adults only trip...

Lumberjack show in EPCOT to be "axed" after the holidays?!

Hoping for some pixie dust for the music - both Off Kilter and Mo'Rockin. Going for my first visit back to WDW since they left and I am actually not looking forward to the world showcase, because I will miss the bands!

MNSSHP 2015 - Be Prepared For Chaos

I read a review of the first night party for a popular blogger and he indicated that the CMs have to do a better job at clearing people without wrist bands out. He said there were a lot of non-wristband people at the parades and posted a pic of the later parade in Frontierland or Liberty...

    Signature Dress Code in Practice?

I have always been to go to a Signature thinking we would be underdressed, but on a recent Disney special with Jeff Mauro and the Food Network, Jeff Mauro went to the California Grill in park clothes so I guess they can't be too strict?

    Which would you cut?

My one trip to Ohana was great but I got full too fast. Love the Biergarten. I would cut Chef Mickeys. I always book Cape May Cafe then cancel so can't provide input.

    Winter 2016 Discount Rumors

Jan/Feb was the time frame I had been going to WDW for a few years. They don't offer discounts around President's Day because the crowds are high and probably not around Mardi Gras because the crowds get crazy. For Jan 2011, they offered free dining - that over the years has been changed to the...

Wild Africa Trek - scared of heights!

Great info! Thanks. I have also taken Wild Africa Trek several times and love it. One of the best extras I have done at WDW. I have always done the 10:15 tour but changed my upcoming October one to 8am. Above users were very thorough and all have great posts. I didn't encounter any bugs or...

50s Prime Time or Sci- Fi?

They are both favorites of mine. Sci-fi if you want a burger. Also great because it is dark and quiet - a nice break from the crowds. Someone will have to sit alone but it is not really a place for conversation, everyone watches the Sci-fi clips. 50s PTC has good grandma-style home cooking...

What did you do that you thought was a waste of money?

Keys to the Kingdom tour in the MK was torture - too long, not a lot of new info, boring - I did LOVE another MK tour, Marceline to the MK - it was shorter and took you under the haunted mansion, also gave great info on Carousel of Progress. Haven't done it, but have to agree with other user...

    Halloween Outfits

I am going to be Constance Hatchaway, bride in the attic of the HM. This is my boyfriend's first WDW trip and I am trying and hoping he will become as addicted as I am - we are going to two MNSSHP's - Oct 27 and 31. I am not sure what he will be, he has one of those morph suits that zips up...

    Sci fi question

I have always gone as a party of two and have always been placed in the back of a car, you are the hitchhikers to a group of 3 or 4. Never had a problem with it. Since it is quiet and dark, most people are watching the sci-fi clips and not having much conversation anyway. Enjoy!

Help me decide - 'Ohana or 1900 Park Fare?

For breakfast, I would always do 1900 PF over Ohana. Ohana over 1900 for dinner.

What does your family do on your first night at Disney?

Same thing here! We usually don't sleep well on the train (Philly to Orlando) so we play it by ear. Early dinner and maybe a park for an hour or two before dinner. Early to bed to rest up for the first full day.

    Crystal Palace or Biergarten?

I would do Biergarten! I LOVE Crystal Palace for the characters, but not for the food. As adults we usually find the children's buffet has the best food and eat chicken nuggets and mac and cheese at the Crystal Palace. The Biergarten has better food and the music show is nice for everyone.

    Very Merry Dessert Party

I have been debating the same thing as this may be our only Halloween for years, if ever. I was first upset at not getting the space, but it seems to take up a large portion of the party night. For the Hallowishes dessert party you can start to meet at 7:30 for the parade which starts at 8:35...
