    Tickets/Magic Band Question

I am taking a quick trip to DLR in May with DH and DS. We purchased Genie+ and Magic Bands for all 3 of us. In June, I will be going to WDW with DD. Does anyone know if I will be able to use my Magic band at both DLR and then WDW?

Everything Genie, Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane - Please Read Posts 1-7

I think I know the answer to this already but is it true that the genie + at Disney world does not include photo pass? (It is at Disneyland but I know they're different)

    Week After Thanksgiving

Erin, that’s terrible! I’m glad your day was better today. We’ve been using Max Pass and LOVE it!! I’m hoping someone here might be able to help me. We’ve had it two days and have been using the photo code when getting pictures taken. NONE of the pictures are showing up! (Only the ride pics...

    Week After Thanksgiving

We fly out Monday evening and will be in the park bright & early Tuesday morning. So excited!! Though I have to be a downer and ask, have you been watching the weather forecast? I just checked and it's chance of rain most of the week? Wonder how accurate this is... (We're from Oregon, we're used...

    Blue Bayou Questions

I've been having the same debate myself. My DH and I ate here without kids a few years back and loved it (minus the obnoxious riders who kept yelling things at us). I was considering taking the kids on our next trip because it's such a cool atmosphere... but I think most of them (there's 5)...

Walking from Residence Inn Convention Center

We're staying at the RI on our next trip down. Looking at Google maps, it's .6 miles from RI to the gate, which I'm guessing will take us about 15-20 minutes. We stayed at the Castle Inn years ago so it's just a tad further than that. Doable, but probably not the most fun thing to do after a...

OFFICIAL 2018 Christmas & Holiday Time at DLR Superthread!!

We'll be going the week after Thanksgiving... In the parks Nov 27-Nov 30 (maybe the 1st too, depends on how the week goes). We'll be spending the weekend at the beach. Staying at the Residence Inn Convention Center. We've never been during the holidays so we're pretty excited about it! I didn't...

What's the best promotion deal for 5 day park hoppers?

I know they run different specials every once in a while. I see right now you can buy adult tickets at the cost of a kid ticket (must be used by Sept). I've also seen a 5 day park hopper for the price of a 4 day park hopper. (Essentially this is the same deal - right now the 5 for 4 deal is on...

What week in November is better price and crowd wise?

November 12th is Veterans Day, and I've seen that day on the "Days that might see higher crowds" list before. So I'd probably avoid that week! I've been told that the week after Thanksgiving might be a "slower" week. I'm debating between that week and the week after for my own trip!

MaxPass / Digital Fastpass - Discussion Thread

I'm sure this has been asked, probably repeatedly, but I'm going to be that person who asks it again. I love the concept of MaxPass. But having a large family, it's hard to swallow the cost of this on top of the crazy amount we pay to get into the park. On the other hand, if it's a huge time...

    Help me choose my dates!

Would you say that Mondays are "typically" more crowded than Fridays? We could do a Mon-Mon trip - Tues-Fri in the parks and Sat/Sun beach. Good to know about the 3rd being overflow from the candle processional. Thank you!

    Help me choose my dates!

I'm planning a trip for our family in November/December 2018. I'm trying to find that sweet spot... where we can enjoy the parks with the least crowds (relatively, of course) and also fly down with the cheapest tickets. ;-) During the last trip, we spent 5 days in California, with the 3rd day...

    Which hotels have adjoining rooms?

Thank you! That's very helpful. I'm looking in Dec 2018 and haven't found a whole lot... could be that they're just not open for booking yet! I'll keep checking back.

    Which hotels have adjoining rooms?

And can you book them online or is this something you have to call the hotel directly for? We're a family of 7. I know there's a few hotels that have suites in them with enough beds but they're hard to find. Thinking I might look into adjoining rooms for our next trip.

When in 2019 will Star Wars Open? Add your Thoughts/Opinion.

I just read an article that suggested a Dec 2018 soft open date. (Disney Tourist blog) I have no idea if there’s any merit to it but thought it was interesting. I wouldn’t have a clue what to guess, myself.

How far out do you plan your trips??

Just curious... we’ve unintentionally made it a tradition of sorts to go to Disneyland every two years. 2018 is our off year but I’m getting the itch to start planning... I’m looking at Dec 2018 or Jan 2019. We’ve never been during the Christmas season so I’d love to do early Dec and experience...

    JANUARY 2017!! **CHECK IN!!

We're at our hotel now! Can't wait to go to the parks in the morning. I've been watching the DL app today, checking out wait times. It looks like RSR is temporarily closed (and has been since early afternoon). Does anyone know if it's actually shut down??

    Photo Pass Confuses Me

I purchased the Photopass online, but there's nothing that references it on the Disneyland app. When I go to the Photopass area on the app, there's an option to "link photos or purchase" but then I have to scan a barcode or enter an ID code... neither of which I have since I bought it online. (I...

    Photo Pass Confuses Me

That is SO helpful. Thank you!!! To the OP - I was super confused about this too. I had to dig around online to try to find out how to even buy the pass but then once I did, it wasn't obvious that it was linked to my Disneyland app. You'd think it would be a little more clear but I guess their...

Opinions on Park Hopper vs. Single Park Admission

I always go back and forth each time we go. The first time we went (as a family), we did not have hoppers and the second time we did. While it's nice to have the hoppers so you do have the option to switch parks, we didn't miss them at all not having them. We're going down next week and did not...
