    🇺🇸**July 2024 Check-In**🇺🇸

We usually go in the summer, although I'm not a local so maybe someone else can give you a better answer. I don't think I've ever needed a jacket in the morning, but I have definitely worn a light jacket in the evening a time or two, especially after getting wet. I specifically recall sitting at...

Is this open air in the middle of DTD like Uva?

    DAS changes starting June 18

Well, I hope they don't make DAS do rider switch if they're only with one person. My daughter qualifies, and based on what I've heard will still qualify, but spending most of the day riding the attractions alone while I queue alone would pretty much ruin the trip for us. Not to mention that...

DAS Outrage vs Genie Plus Outrage?

Re: the comments about business vs leisure and SEA - I'm pretty much strictly a leisure traveler and I have CLEAR. I've found it works pretty well at SEA, which is my home airport. I got it because one day I got to security and the posted wait was TWO HOURS. So I bought it on the spot and was...

They have chicken-fried chicken, so it's a little different--southern-style with gravy. They serve it with mashed potatoes and a vegetable. But it's crispy and we like it. You can get the gravy on the side.

DAS Outrage vs Genie Plus Outrage?

I just have to say that I'm impressed with the 90+ year-olds at DL and hope to be in good enough shape to do that when I'm that age!

Back from a wonderful trip! Report and pictures. April 7-9

Last time we were at Oga's, it seems like we sat at the bar, although I can't say I'm 100% on that. Anyone know if the bar can be requested? Also, if you're waiting, do they give you a buzzer or do you have to wait there in person?

    The Disneyland Hotel Superthread

That's pretty standard for how room service breakfast works in just about any hotel.

I've been wanting to try the Banoffee Pie, glad to hear you liked it! I usually get the macaron at Jolly Holiday so I'll have to pry myself away from it. That chicken looks like a piece of sandpaper.

Most of the restaurants that I like, I like because of the atmosphere. You can get great food outside of Disneyland, but you can't get the atmosphere at the DL restaurants anywhere but DL. The one restaurant we never miss is Blue Bayou. I personally prefer Carnation Cafe to Plaza Inn because I...

What to Drink That Isn't SUGAR?

The half lemonade, half soda is a great idea! You might try the iced green tea at Starbucks (which is Fiddler, Fifer and Practical Cafe on Buena Vista Street in DCA, Market House on Main Street in DL, and also one in DTD). It doesn't have a strong green tea flavor because it's actually what...

    Pixar Fest- April 26-August 4

"New this year, the menu at Troubadour Tavern in Disneyland park will transform to feature Pixar-inspired bites and beverages." Looks like they've totally redone the menu here. Roundup BBQ Potato inspired by “Toy Story”: Brisket burnt ends tossed in Coca-Cola BBQ sauce, creamy slaw, pickle...

    The Disneyland Hotel Superthread

I used to review hotels for a living. My company reimbursed for arrival tips to the bellman who brought bags to the room, and to the doorman if there was one. They would not reimburse for tips to two bellman (ie, one at the car and one in the room) nor did they reimburse tips to the valet on...

    Disneyland table service

I agree re: Carthay Circle. The food was pretty good but not awesome; the ambience was great, but the fact that people were so dressed down made it less special for me. That and the fact that people were so oblivious to their overly tired, misbehaving kids. If I'm spending that kind of $$, I...
