    DLP newbie-meal questions

I think only you know how much food is right. Think about what you ate at WDW. We are going next week and have full board. However, our deal was for half board included. At present that deal includes a quick serve breakfast only, so no filling breakfast buffets for us. I chose to upgrade to full...

January 2017 Changes Affecting Tourists Visiting USA

We flew into Miami in October. There are a lot of kiosks, and I'm very sure that they were accessible to wheelchair users. We had no queue at all, just walked up to a free machine, but as that was my first experience of Miami I can't say if that was typical or not. I went to one machine and...

    Best signature dining?

Narcoosees would be a must do with Dining Plan for my family. We liked everything on our recent trip - food, service, fireworks etc. Our other must do is Hollywood Brown Derby Fantasmic package. Appetisers are included which adds to the value, as is a pass into the most central seating...

Specialty drinks on the dining plan

We had less success with this on our recent trip than we had in times gone by. But worth asking I guess. S.

A hidden gem, a cannot miss, and a don't waste your time

Hidden Gem - Morimoto Asia for lunch - if you like the items on the admittedly limited set lunch menu then this is a great use of a TS credit Can't Miss - Hollywood Brown Derby Fantasmic Package. And Narcoosees will always be on our list with DDP. Oh, and Boma, even without DDP we'd go there...

    Best Epcot Restaurant?

Very disappointed with Tokyo Dining on our recent trip - not bad exactly but ranks as our bottom experience. Also not wowed by Yachtsman. It was no more than 'fine' and I wouldn't go there again. Wish we'd opted for Flying Fish instead. Can't report on anything else at Epcot recently, sorry.

MK Dinner ADR: SC or BOG?

Yes, we really enjoyed our lunch at SC, thought the food was great, and it would be good to be sitting down at the time when the park has both day guests and party guests overlapping - if its anything like the MNSSHP days that we experienced.

$100 gift card offer - wait to book?

I wouldn't count on getting Virgin flights for those dates within your price constraints. The 28th Oct is peak peak demand for return to the UK. I tried to book for this year on day of release, and the return flights were never released at the lowest fare code. They were released a couple of...

Anyone been without letter of consent?

I travelled to Canada and back a couple of years ago with my then 7yo. The family I was visiting were very paranoid and insisted I get a letter from hubby to carry. Wasn't asked for it or challenged at either end on either leg. However daughter and I went on a package to Turkey together last...

Need to get it off my chest . . .

I'm very frustrated too. Had pencilled in ROL for our last night so now left with nothing to do. Interesting rumour about 9 th September though. Maybe there's hope?nAlso annoyed that MSEP is not going to be on, and 2 of our favourite rides will be down ( Dinosaur and Big Thunder). We don't do...

Point Orlando resort off I drive?

Stayed for just one night in 2013, and no complaints. We had a one-bedroom. Plenty of space, comfy bed and quiet. The pool was nice for a dip, and it was easy to get to restaurants. Also fairly easy to get to from the airport. I'd stay again. Sencybil

Term-time holidays following the High Court decision

I'm rather surprised how reasonable everyone is being, and how I agree with almost everything that's been said! I'm sure I read on a forum somewhere that it was outrageous for parents to take kids out of school for even one day because 'no one NEEDS a holiday'. And that I would totally...

Arriving just after dates for free dining plan

I booked a Disney room a few years back which we didn't use. It was just one night - but they had no idea we hadn't actually been to the room. Why would they cancel your booking? They get their money, that's what they care about surely..... You could ring on your supposed check in day to say...

    ADR day soon.

I hope it went well! It was my ADR day last Friday and I found it quite hassley! Eventually got what I wanted but it took ages, lots of times reservations wouldn't load, got error messages etc. definitely couldn't do it in 15 mins but was able to carry on making reservations hours and even days...

Norwegian airline? Has anyone flown with them?

Maybe its something to do with the seat pockets then, as dh's knees usually touch the seat in front but didn't on our Norwegian flight.

    Brown Derby with kids

My DD6 loved it. We will definitely go again next trip. And as a signature restaurant they will be more than happy to customise your plate. Best wishes Sencybil.

Help me get my Planning Head on!

Thank you for your replies. You're right about dinners not needing to be linked to park days - except of course for tying in with late night hours and the evening entertainment, which there is more to consider now with Rivers of light...... And sadly in terms of 'dividing up our ADR choices' -...

Upgrading a child ticket to get adult dining

No, no issue at all. The restaurants have no idea which credits relate to whom. As far as they're concerned we could be 2 adults from our party treating a child from another party, or a relative or friend who lives locally. The restaurant staff really aren't bothered. Like initially I felt...
