    Yesterday's DIS Unplugged show

I agree. I get that they made the choices that led them to where they are today and they should be proud, but it doesn’t mean that they aren’t out of touch with an average Disney goer. It’s usually not so bad because we typically get a mix of voices but it was really stark this week. A...

Pete's comments on his team and the Skyliner from last weeks show.

I agree with you but I want to point out that people weren’t technically evacuated. They got the line back up and running so people got off at the stations. Very few people were actually evacuated because it took so long for each cart.

Pete's comments on his team and the Skyliner from last weeks show.

I listen to the podcast, I don’t watch live so I just came here to see if I could figure out what people we’re saying. I’m not a troll by nature but I was snickering here and there for sure when listening. I follow these guys on twitter and Ryno (who i like very much and follow for a...

DDIL will be 7 months pregnant at disney.

I’ve been twice while pregnant. Both at 7 months. Once in December and once in June. December was fine. I was hot but it was totally fine. I got sick on the plane but that happens all the time for me. I threw up so hard I couldn’t breath, so that was new. Ha In June, it was so hot. So...

Has the DIS UNPLUGGED podcast gone sour?

Haha. Star Wars land won’t be! Toy story land though? I’m assuming yes!

Has the DIS UNPLUGGED podcast gone sour?

And as hard as I try, there really isn’t a podcast/blogger/whatever out there that speaks to my situation either. I know there are a lot of options but it’s rare to find one that incorporates the family aspect without having the first timer slant. I’d love a spin off with more parents to join...

Has the DIS UNPLUGGED podcast gone sour?

I totally get that. And it’s clear that they are looking to appeal to whomever finds them appealing. And my life has changed since I became a listener, and I recognize that for sure. There is one person in particular that irks me with the non stop sky is falling everything is wrong attitude...

Has the DIS UNPLUGGED podcast gone sour?

Gosh. The op is wondering if anyone else feels the same and people have to jump all over it. It’s not exactly a back and forth when someone just bristles at any criticism of the podcasters and says “no,you’re wrong”

Has the DIS UNPLUGGED podcast gone sour?

I only read a few comments on the first page so this response is directed at the OP only. I completely agree with you. I used to just roll my eyes at the negativity because I am fine with it in doses and I used to work at Disney (CP) so I don’t drink the everything is magic koolaid. I...

    Pete’s WW2 comment

Am I really the first person offended/annoyed enough to start a thread. I know it will be brushed off as “a joke” but jokes usually need to be funny, no?

Tips for child afraid of falling out of rides

My son comes up with a lot of irrational fears. The suggestions are great so far, but we started a “then what” approach and it has helped a lot. “I’m afraid i will fall out” “Okay, I understand that fear. But if you fall out, then What will happen?” “........ i’ll get hurt?” “You would get...

The flu has me freaking out!

I’m totally freaked out about it. I won’t go to the indoor play place this season in our town. I’m just bundling the kids up and bringing them outside in the yard. We do lots of hand washing etc. I give them vitamin C and probiotics. We all got the stomach flu at Christmas time and it was...

Afternoon naps with a 2.5 year old logistics

We've done it a lot of different ways, but I remember the first time being SO WORRIED about how it would work out. It will be fine! My middle child napped in his stroller or we would make it back to the room. We did a lot of walking around while he slept in the stroller while one of us went...

    "We Wants the Red-Head..."

Wait. We are being told not to overthink the scene by someone who is claiming that a robot is into being sold to other drunk and dirty robots because she has a dress on? I think we have reached maximum absurdity at this point and should all just accept that the change is happening and the red...

Trip must haves when traveling with toddlers

These are all great! I second the Dover sticker books. I always have a stash in my car because they are just the perfect size to hide and surprise them when we decide to grab lunch or there is a line somewhere and I need them to wait. I just got back and I found that a pencil case full of...

Family walks before DW to get family used to DW distances?

We go for a family walk every night in our neighborhood. We have a mile loop. Now that my oldest is 6, we have him walk while my 3 yo walks and rides in the wagon. I still bring a double stroller though. That way my oldest can pop in and out. Any kind of walking a good prep for the trip...

    Busy in September?

Oh, and I would never suggest doing the first party or weekend of F&W. it's full of Disney bloggers and local reporters to write their reviews.

    Busy in September?

We went mid-end September 2015. It wasn't too bad, but my tip would be avoid EPCOT on the weekends if possible. So many locals go then and it's just too crowded. But it's crowded in an annoying way, the food (and wine!) make people congregate in groups and it was a pain to maneuver.

    'Ohana dinner then MK

Maybe, if you get to the poly early enough to walk around and relax. We are so slow getting out of there because we just love soaking it all in. I would hate to rush out of there, so go a bit early! But I would imagine yes, you could do that in 2 hours!
