Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT Information & Questions

Are there casual places for dine-in meals (including breakfast) right now? Looks like Disney describes El Mercado de Coronado as “grab and go” only?

What is your opinion on the United Kingdom?

Summer vacation, after the first month or so. I was always so excited to get back to school.

What is your opinion on the United Kingdom?

No way. I live next to a crabby neighbor who complains a lot & loudly about other people’s lawns/yards. It isn’t endearing.

    2 passengers test positive

And if high cycle thresholds were used for the Covid tests, false positives are more likely to occur. I wonder if these passengers’ tests used the lower cycle thresholds that are (interestingly) now supposed to be used specifically for vaccinated people. Regardless I am encouraged to hear they...

Cruising in January...how is it? Specifically wondering about Castaway Cay weather.

Me too! Our first cruise was to Alaska (loved it!) and my family is looking forward to a warmer cruise for something different, but I really didn’t consider that our planned January cruise was a risky time. March is our backup but maybe that’s too cool also. Yikes! Lots to learn, clearly...

    Paris Tour From DLP Hotel

We visited DLP about 5 years ago and loved it. The park is beautiful & the castle is breathtaking. We have been lifelong WDW visitors but found so much there that was new or unique to enjoy. We stayed on-site at Disney’s Sequoia Lodge resort, which was very convenient. Confession: we were in...

What was the greatest pain you've experienced?

When my dentist hit a nerve during an appointment to get a crown. They literally held down my arms bc at that moment I think my natural reaction might’ve been to strike back. It was intense and horrific! Thankfully it didn’t last too long.

    Capture Your Moment Photo Session

sounds great! I’m curious - were masks required then?

Realistically, when do think Disney will no longer require masks?

Okay, we did sneak a few photos, usually quickly when sitting eating or drinking. But I’m a rule follower, so it was tough... 🙂

Realistically, when do think Disney will no longer require masks?

I have a few trips booked but will probably cancel a couple of them bc I think masks could last a long time; I’m guessing until the anniversary on October 1 at least. I hope I’m wrong and that at least outside masking will end sooner. Sunlight and fresh air are extremely helpful and there’s just...

Chapek: "Maybe by this fall-Limited Operations of Our (Disney) Cruise Ships"

I guess it’s interesting but personally the tone of it (after all this time waiting for news and my paid-in-full cruise getting canceled so my $ is still sitting there, like so many others) it just makes me feel honestly like just canceling my January and March (backup) cruises. We really don’t...

How many more days until your Disney cruise - Part 3

306 days until our 2nd cruise, a 6-night western Caribbean on the Fantasy. We were originally booked on a marvel cruise that would have been leaving today. Honestly I’m having trouble feeling hopeful about ever cruising again. I would love to go though.

    Child vaccine trials poll

Nope. Imho it’s too soon to try this experimental vaccine using mRNA technology on kids who aren’t even generally at risk for poor Covid outcomes. The elderly are the group that’s mainly at risk, so the focus should be there. My kids are healthy with no risk factors, so we take reasonable...

    WDW Anniversary Tips

I don’t have any wisdom but we will be there too! My twins have a birthday on October 1 & they love WDW so they planned the trip to celebrate (including MK on the big day). We can’t wait!! I’m sure it’ll be important to get there earlier than usual. We may Uber (coming from pop century) if...

    Help with Florida beach trip

We stayed at Opal Sands in Clearwater Beach for 3 nights in December before spending several nights at WDW. We loved the hotel. The sand was amazing on the beach and the feeling of the hotel is like that of a cruise ship. Very pretty and classy & all the rooms face the water and have balconies...

    Proof that Facebook is listening

Yes, this has happened to me. One night late my husband and I were talking in our bedroom about something very random and very creepily there appeared a very specific ad (for a product that incorporated a phrase I’d said) on FB as I was scrolling a little later. I never had searched for anything...

    Reading challenge 2021

I would love to read more this year! I’m good at starting but not finishing books. My goal is to finish at least 21 books in 2021. Thanks for organizing this!

Will the new administration cancel American cruises for 2021?

This is where we’re at in our family. Not hopeful sadly. We canceled our big WDW trip for this year bc we have no interest going with the current restrictions. We had a marvel cruise scheduled for March 2021 that we changed to a western Caribbean for January 2022, but even that honestly I don’t...
