    Hotel help

I just got back from a short trip and stayed at Park Vue. I will 100% stay there again if I'm not just staying with friends or family (former local.) It is just a hop across the street to the security check in. I checked in for my room online and got the notification that the room was ready by...

One week in California... including Disneyland?

If you do this, I personally would split the hotel time between DL and Universal. Southern California traffic is brutal and you're probably looking at 3 hours in the car round trip to commute between. Have the people in your group who decided on California given input on why they want CA/what...

Any close, budget hotels with shuttles to/from park?

Depending on what you mean by "budget" you can probably find something where you don't even need a shuttle. The kind of mind-blowing thing for people who are WDW people heading to Disneyland is that there are several hotels that are actually closer to the entrances of DL Park and DCA than the...

    Sunscreen on property?

You might be able to find some really expensive high-end brands at the Sephora in Disney Springs.

Is the Christmas Party worth the price?

I went the Sunday after Thanksgiving this year and really liked it. I didn't think it was overly crowded. I think the longest line was for Peter Pan and that was still probably under 30 minutes. Walk-on for Splash, and we hightailed it to "Jingle Cruise" right after the parade so that was also...

Disney Springs - Holidays (After Thanksgiving)

We went Thanksgiving Day through the following Monday this past year and Disney Springs was bonkers out of control busy and way more crowded than any of the parks. We went to DS briefly on Thanksgiving Day night, Black Friday night, and Sunday morning.

Preparing for Nicole, Rain tips, and other advice!

We have had a great time on rain days. Keen Whispers or similar type waterproof-ish hiking sandals, lightweight Northface rain jackets (way better than ponchos as far as I'm concerned). I've never bothered with an umbrella. You're going to get a little wet. It's just water! As long as you wear...

Keen Whispers are 100% perfect for Disney rain days, IMO. Super comfortable too.

It didn't even occur to me that prices would go down, but I just got 7000 points back on my outbound flight. Thanks for prompting me to check!

    Lounges on Thanksgiving Day

Thanks for the input. I wasn't even thinking about the transportation itself being crowded, but that's obvious now! We're fine with QS if it comes down to it and I don't think we'll try for Trader Sam's. I'm good with the Tambu Lounge on that stop!

    Lounges on Thanksgiving Day

Arrival day is Thanksgiving and I have MK as park res for that day. I'm considering not doing any ADRs for that day and just doing a monorail hop for a sort of progressive dinner at some lounges and to see Christmas decor at the monorail resorts. It's just husband and me, and we don't care so...

Favorite Shoes for Disney Theme Parks

I second Keen Whispers. I have them in 3 colors, if that tells you how much I love these shoes.

Nearest Beach by bus from Disneyland?

Maybe Huntington Beach? It's pretty much a straight shot down Beach Blvd and it looks like there's a stop right on PCH, but there are a lot of stops in between according to Google Maps. It'd be over 3 hours of travel time round trip. Maybe get an Uber instead?

In park purchases-- delivery to resorts

When I worked merch at Disneyland, package pickup was done via golf carts that were driven around backstage from location to location. They came by every two hours or so? (This was 22+ years now so my memory is admittedly a little fuzzy.) I wasn't trained on this job, but the people who did it...

Either BC, YC, or BW. Someday, but the husband says after our November trip he wants a Disney break. :earboy2:

Is it kind of like an ADR where the system just "knows" that you have qualifying resort reservations in order to purchase them on the 30th? I reaaaaaally want them for November 27th and reaaaaaaally don't want to call.

Impact of modifying # of people on ADR

Don't bother. As long as at least 1 person shows up for the ADR, there is no penalty. Just keep your reservation as is and update the correct # when you check in.

    Return of International Cast members?

European & Canadian International Cast Members will be back starting in August, but I don't think they've said a specific date. Other countries are still TBA.

    ***Official November 2022 Thread***

I have been so hesitant to update my signature and join this group because of my saga of postponed and ultimately cancelled trips the past two years! Short story, a 2020 Spring Break girls' trip was pushed back and back and back and then the person I was supposed to go with ultimately backed...
