Rivers of Light in January?AK closes at 5

If Animal Kingdom closes at five in January, I wonder if they will they still show Rivers of Light. I know DHS shows Fantasmic at 7 when the park closes at that time. Has anyone heard anything? I'm trying to make dining plans. Thanks!

Worst Ride Experience..I lost it on Mission Space

Ok, this is embarrassing but here goes...last week we were in Epcot. DH and DS's love Mission Space. DD not so much. Her and I had not ridden it in years. This year she decided she wanted to give it another go. I remember not loving the experience (green) because tight spaces aren't my thing...

Theater Loading (Or WDW Herding Cattle)

Shows are bad but haunted mansion is the worst. It really is like herding cattle after you leave that room. When the pushing starts I always say "MOO".:rotfl:

    How short is too short?

We usually spend a week at Disney. Luckily we have been there multiple times. New work and school schedules are making a week seem impossible. I was thinking of doing a short trip because we are a short two hour flight away. How long have you stayed where it doesn't feel rushed. In an ideal...

How far is the walk at these moderates?

Wehave always had to stay deluxe because we are five. I might be taking the kids without hubby so I wanted to save and go moderate. I know POR and POFQ doesn't have internal bussing. How bad is the furthest walk? At CSR and CBR is taking the internal bus necessary? How far away from things are...

Calling all theme park strategy experts...I have a tough ? for you..

Something similar just happened to me last week. We had four days in cocoa then four days in Disney (mon/thurs). Our Friday plans got cancelled and I wanted to drive in for the day and go to mk early. I called guest services to see if I could add a day. No one could give me a straight answer if...

Why is Disney so special to you?

People tell us it's just an amusement park. Still others question why we're going again. I don't bother to explain it to them anymore because you either get it or you don't. Only dis people get it lol. For me it's the only time of the year that we block out the world and spend time together...

Has your style of touring changed over the years?

PersonalizedMousePersonalizedMouse Let me preface this with I love my husband lol. During our Disney vacations he can become a bit much. His tornado style of touring can only be likened to the Tazmanian Devil. The kids shoot me exhausted and desperate looks that say 'will we ever see the resort...

    4 days at Beach Club!!!

We Checked into Beach Club last Sunday. Here are a few random thoughts. 1: This was our first time traveling in the summer. I had heard horror stories. While it was hot, we acclimated quickly. It's not as if the Jersey shore isn't gross and humid in August. Lol. Although we had to take it a bit...

I disagree...Hollywood is still a full day for us.

I agree that there is a lot closed. I can't wait to see it after the renovation. To be fair it was the only day we did Hollywood. I think if you've been many times I could see it seeming tired. If you are new to Disney it's worth a look.
