Day trip from London to DLP - crazy? doable?

You could definitely do it in a day if you wanted to by getting the first train to Gare du Nord, which if you take the RER will get you to DLP by about 10.30am if everything is on time. You could then catch the last train back at 9pmish, meaning you'd have to leave DLP around 2 - 2 1/2hours...

    RER train from Paris?

Yes the RER will be your best bet, price wise anyway. You'll need to catch the RER line A, making sure you get on the train going to Marne La Vallee (there are boards on the platform with the relevant destinations lit up). From Chatelet Les Halles the journey takes around 35-40 minutes.

Summer at NPB - Day 1

Sounds like a great start. We're off next weekend for our first visit during the summer holidays and I'm a bit worried about it being super busy. How did you find the wait times overall? From the above it sounds like the evenings were good for short queues.

Ok, so rides I have never done (and probably never will!)... Space Mountain Indiana Jones Crush's Coaster Parachute Drop Tower of Terror RC Racer Rock n Roller Coaster Hotels I've never stayed in... New York Newport Bay (but staying there next week!) Restaurants I've never eaten at (parks...

    DLP Crowds

Ascension day is Thursday 30th May and I think is a public holiday in France so I would avoid that if you can. UK schools are also on holiday that week and while crowds are still manageable during that week you'll have even quieter parks if you avoid it.

How early do I need to be for rope drop?

Obviously there are no guarantees but going by the past two years the Friday was very quiet (I wasn't there on the Thursday but assume it was similar). Ratatouille for example was a walk on a one point after lunch on Friday. Crush, however, always seems to have a big line regardless so that...

Well this popped up in my inbox this morning....

I'm both but only got one email from DLP Carte Club - I wasn't 100% sure which side it came from, do you think shareholders? And yes I saw the bit about the event - very intriguing!

    Sequoia Lodge question

We had adjoining/interconnecting rooms after requesting them a couple of years ago. TBH I think most of the rooms are connected. Unless you've booked a Montana room in the main building you'll be in one the lodges in which case I would email 3-4 days before you go and request rooms in either...

    Restaurant hours for September

I usually use this one, however it only goes up to August at the moment. Hopefully they'll update it soon. https://disneykindofday.blogspot.co.uk/2015/04/restaurant-opening-hours-disneyland.html

Booking Room only on non Disney site

Yes you are. Everyone staying at a Disney hotel gets given an Easypass on check-in, which is what you need to access EMH.

    Run Disney

Last year the bibs went on sale in mid February but this year the website just says "Spring" and no one has anything more specific at the moment. Last year I had no problem getting a bib only ticket for the 5k race and there was even a further sale in August plus I think you could even sign up...

    Best drink WITH souvenir glass.

I would think Trader Sams at the Poly is a good place to start. The theming is great and is fun to watch the antics of the bartenders when different drinks are ordered. I pushed the boat out (a bit too far) and ordered the Nautilus which was delicious but huge! Two could easily share it but then...

Possible end of May 2017 trip

We went at that time this year, plus the week before. The week before was quieter but we didn't find the second week to be horribly busy either. We used busy days guides and booked fast passes and ADRs in advance so never queued very long for anything. The downside for us was the heat as in the...

    APs ordered via post

Update from me.... Application for DS's classic pass sent 13/10 by registered post Royal Mail website showed it had been received 17/10 Pass arrived yesterday - 09/11 - but collected today as I had to sign for it. So, four weeks to arrive this time rather than the two weeks it took mine to...

    APs ordered via post

Does anyone happen to have the email address for the AP office? I sent my son's application form off three weeks ago and haven't received it back yet. I expect it's because there were more applications coming in before the price rise at the start of November but I'd like to check that they've at...

Thoughts on our prospective travel dates

Of those I would choose either September or October, depending on whether you prefer to be there for the marathon or Halloween. I was there for the marathon weekend and had a brilliant time. It was fab taking part in the 5k race and I thought there was a great atmosphere over the weekend. Plus I...

I don't get Eurostar, enlighten me

The departure lounge at Marne la Vallee is almost non-existent. I think there might be a handful chairs after security but nowhere enough to cater for all of the passengers. It's not ideal but as others have said you don't have to wait too long before you can get on the train and wait there...

Direct Eurostar services to DLP is under threat.

There's nothing in that article, and I haven't seen anything anywhere else, that specifically refers to the direct service being cut so I'm not going to worry just yet. Eurostar will be cutting some services but this is partly because their new trains have a bigger capacity and this will go some...

I don't get Eurostar, enlighten me

I'm not very keen on flying but there are other factors too. Overall I just find the whole process a lot less hassle than flying and I'm really not sure it takes a lot longer. If I was catching an 11am flight to Paris for example I would need to be at the airport at least two hours before...

Planning for 2017 - Decisions to be made

Personally I would go later in April if I could and try and avoid the French school holidays if possible. I haven't heard of any events specifically for the 12th. There may well be something but I would personally rather have lower crowd levels. You'll still get to see the new events for the...
