Should we go now or postpone? Immunocompromised Child

I would absolutely not go. It is not worth the risk. My family got COVID the last time we were at Disney, as have so many families I’ve known who’ve gone there recently. Frankly, I’m not sure how anyone who has immune issues would not get sick there. One of the things I didn’t realize until I...

Room in back of Minnie Van for wheelchair

We are a family of 6 with a son who will be using a foldable pediatric wheelchair in the parks. Last year, we took an Uber XL and it was great - the first time, when we got a van and could put our double stroller in the back. The second time, an SUV with almost no storage room in the back came...

DAS on Rides with Separate Wheelchair Entrances

We'll be traveling with my son who will have a DAS (autism and Down syndrome) and also a wheelchair. As I recall, there are some rides where getting a DAS is a waste, because either way we'll be directed to the same wheelchair entrance. Does anyone have a master list of these? The one I recall...

    Options for on-demand transportation

We will need transportation from WDW to MCO, but at a flexible time (we have an early flight home so are staying at Hyatt MCO for the last night). We are a family of 6 plus luggage. When I tried to use an Uber XL at Disney last time, we were sent a vehicle which didn’t even have room for our...

Book online then transfer to Costco?

Here's what ended up happening: - I booked opening day to get the rooms and prices I wanted through Disney. I then transferred to Costco by filling out online forms. - I tried to book a placeholder on the app during my cruise, but got error messages. I went to guest services who filled out a...

    All Things Youth Activities

What activities are currently available? It doesn’t look like many are published on the Navigator app. Are there still regular activities and is there a way to see the schedule once we are on the ship? Thanks!

    Summer 2023 release date?

Is anyone else struggling with the “sudden swell message”? I’ve tried two computers and my iPhone - wifi and cell service and cleared cookies. Every time I try it look at staterooms, it tells me there is a sudden swell and won’t show the rooms available

Book online then transfer to Costco?

I can book on Thursday for a Europe cruise next year. I’d like to book through Costco. Does it make sense to book online through Disney and then just transfer to Costco? I will be in meetings for work much of the day so I can’t do hours on hold with Costco. To complicate matters, I have a...

What time for private transportation pickup?

We are using private transportation from the port to MCO. First, how long does it typically take from when we exit the ship to when we will be able to be picked up (getting bags, customs, etc)? Second, what time is recommended for pickup? We have early dining and are also happy to go to...

Wait until placeholder is available or book opening day?

I’d like to get two cabins for a summer 2023 cruise to Europe or Alaska, booking through Costco. We will be going on a cruise at the end of May so will be able to get a discount on a future cruise then. Does it make sense to book opening day or just wait a few weeks until I have the discount...

    Transportation from Garden Grove Area

What’s the easiest form of transportation from Garden Grove? We will be traveling with a child in a wheelchair. Last time we stayed in the convention area and walked took a shuttle from the Toy Story parking lot. Money isn’t a huge concern, but I don’t want to spend a long time waiting for...

Face mask policy & children with autism

There is absolutely no way my child can/will wear a mask. He can’t even wear a hat. We bought APs to get two trips in a year. I hope they will refund the remainder of our passes and not just the time that Disney is closed. I don’t blame them for requiring masks but they’ve made it so a portion...

    Double Stroller as Wheelchair?

Yes! We have always used our double and gotten a sticker. One child is disabled and another lucky kid has gotten to stay in the stroller with him in line since they get a free ride. Just be careful that your stroller isn’t too wide as Disney has new standards

Disney taking presale orders for Disney themed face masks

I bought some very cute Disney masks on Etsy - I was able to get them with filter pockets too. People are making them from the material of Disney dresses. I got the cutest pink mask with Disney dogs to match my Dooney. I also got an orange bird mask!

Sensory issues and face masks?? NO DEBATE, suggestions only

I am facing a similar issue. We need to cut his fingernails while he sleeps. He has actually flipped out whenever he sees my husband or me wearing face masks. There is absolutely zero chance of him wearing one. His comprehension is not to the point where he could really get it. His spare time is...

Does anyone here have a Lovesac sectional?

We LOVE ours. I am really surprised anyone thinks they are uncomfortable. It’s so comfortable my husband has occasionally decided to just sleep on the couch. We’ve washed ours and gotten stains out with no issue too.

    Disastrous experience in Aulani pool

We were there in February and one of the life guards fell asleep multiple times. He wasn’t watching the lazy river at all. I even reported it to other lifeguards and management, but the two times I saw him later in the day he was also slouched over with his eyes closed. I was very unimpressed...

    Restaurants in Kapolei/Aulani area

Limon Rotisserie Peruvian food in Kapolei was a surprise family hit! No kids menu, but our kids all got empanadas and loved them. They also had live music. Monkeypod was Ok- not amazing, but convenient.

Just back - Brief Review/Trip Report

Yes! We had an 8:45 tour and were supposed to get there at 7:45, but ended up arriving around 8:30 which turned out to not be a problem. It was rush hour and there was construction

Just back - Brief Review/Trip Report

There are a few stores with most anything you could want - clothing, snacks, souvenirs. I found the prices more reasonable than at Aulani or Kualoa ranch (at least the same item was slightly less at PCC). We could’ve spent a lot longer at the marketplace
