Getting from Wilderness Lodge to International Gateway

My personal opinion...buck up and get a Minnie Van to the BC. While a bit on the expensive side, we've thoroughly enjoyed every ride we've taken with them as the drivers are all very knowledgeable and friendly cast members. Every one of them has made my girls smile with stickers, figures, small...

    Swan/Dolphin vs Yacht Club

Big fan of the Swan, and we own DVC at the BC, so YC is pretty high on our list too. If you're worried about budget, you can't go wrong at the Swan. I prefer that hotel over the Dolphin simply because it's a bit more intimate.

    Help me choose resort!

I own DVC at the Beach Club, but given your circumstances, I'd choose the Poly. The garden wing at the Contemporary is a bit of a walk from all of the action (but a lovely view), and the convenience of being so close to the MK may be negated by the relatively lengthy walk back to your room. You...

    Extra night or not

I'm a DVC member as well, and I always plan on staying a night or two at POR before we move to our villa. We like to do Disney Springs on our first night for dinner and relaxing before the theme park madness sets in. I also like taking the first full day to play golf, swim, and otherwise do all...

Disney's WILDERNESS LODGE Information & Questions

9 days for us too, except we'll be at the Swan for the first two nights before moving to Boulder Ridge next Friday. And I agree with Nymph, activities are endless at FW!

Disney's WILDERNESS LODGE Information & Questions

I'm more concerned about the Boulder Ridge pool. We'll have little ones with us this time around and the zero entry would be perfect for them.

Heading down to the Swan for Memorial Day weekend and doing a split stay with Boulder Ridge. Does the Swan still offer luggage transfer to the Disney resorts?

Disney's WILDERNESS LODGE Information & Questions

Hey all, heading down to Boulder Ridge in a couple of weeks, and I'm pretty sure this has been asked already, but are the boats running between WL and CR? We have a reservation for Chef Mickey's and need to know if we should plan extra travel time by going to MK first. Thank you!

What are your all-time top favorite Disney resorts?

Beach Club - it's our home resort. And we always stay at Port Orlenas Riverside for the first night or two so we can take the boat to Disney Springs for our first vacation dinner!

How many days of school do your kids miss a year for vacations?

This will be the first time we're taking our kids out of school, but she is only in first grade and we will only be taking her out for four days around Memorial Day weekend. The only reason we are doing it is because it's use it or lose it with our DVC points. She is in first grade and goes to...

Disney's YACHT & BEACH CLUB RESORTS Information & Questions

Here I go again..... Just moved our next trip from January to Memorial Day Weekend 2023. Currently have a reservation at Boulder Ridge Villas from 5/26-5/31, but as always I feel like I'm cheating whenever I stay away from home. so I put in a waitlist for BCV for the same dates. I know Flower...

    Parking at a resort

My personal opinion, as long as I have a dining reservation, I would valet it. I'd be paying for preferred parking if I were driving to one of the parks, so I'd be paying either way.

    Why mix up resorts?

All of the above, especially #3. We also like to stay at one of the resorts along the Sassagoula so we can take the boat for our first night or two to Disney Springs. We then transfer to whatever DVC resort we're staying in (most likely BCV) to be close to the parks...

The last resort you stayed at and the next resort you are staying at? and what year?

July 2021 we stayed at our home resort, BCV, after a couple of days with friends offsite. Next trip is Memorial Day weekend 2023 at Boulder Ridge, unless our waitlist comes through and we're back home at BCV!

Cons to DIsney's Swan or Dolphin

We stayed at the Swan for our honeymoon and furor last trip right before COVID. You can't beat the location, and the Heavenly Beds are to die for after a long day at the parks. One thing that stinks is that the buses now drop you off at the TTC rather than at the front gate of MK. Other than...
