I think it might be because I'm outside the US - my husband is on a business trip in California and could pull up the website no problem. Not great for those of us planning our trips from afar!

Now when I try to go to the El Capitan website, I just get redirected to the general Disney website. Is anyone else having that problem?

What is people's experience with crowds that day, i.e., is it best to avoid the park if you don't have a ticket? I posted another thread about this but I am still torn on whether I should just change my day to be a non-Star Wars day.

I know they say crowd calendars are no longer valid but they’re all saying May 2nd (Star Wars Nite) will be a ghost town. Is there anything to this - am I better off including the 2nd in our plans?

We do mostly counter service as I think there are more and better choices to make everyone happy. There also are so many good snack foods at the park that if we added table service I'm not sure we'd get everything in.

We're going over Christmas and I wanted to find something that we could focus on that doesn't involve standing in line, given that it will be super busy. We are going with our 19 year old daughters - is there a scavenger hunt or similar activity anyone would recommend for that age group? TIA...

We've had to adjust our trip to the 23-27 and I plan on going in with a different mindset. We're focusing on enjoying the food, the ambience, the decorations, and with Genie+ can (hopefully!) get on everything once. I think you can have a good time.

Rereading the whole thread now I'm a bit confused, but sounds like that's WDW only? I would love to see the end of reservations. And while we're at it, let's bring back max pass, not reinforcing fastpass end times... the good old days... :laughing:

The tickets UT is currently selling seem to expire January 12, 2025, so yes, you can, You can't make reservations yet, but as long as you use the tickets before January 12, 2025, you can purchase them.

On your drive up the coast through Oregon, I would highly suggest stopping here for pie. they have a few special berry pies that are only available in the summer. We haven't been to Oregon for several years but all of us talk longingly about returning to the "Pie Chalet"...
