June 2017 Trip Report – WDW vets reflect on their first DLR trip

I'm loving this TR so far, but haven't even made it past your first day in the park yet. I got distracted by your daughter's sunglasses. I just have to know, did she get those during your trip? And where? I'm obsessed with them, and will be doing a partial day trip in about a week and...

    What are your "mini joys?"

My "mini joys" from this last trip: Walking through the parks humming along with the Christmas music. Riding the train and having people on IASW wave to us. I love seeing other people enjoying the Disney magic. The Golden Horseshoe. I'd heard about it, and just happened to be near it when we...

Disneyland at Christmas/Holiday Season Superthread #5

Thank you! I'm a firm believer in Zicam as well. I had been taking it faithfully until about Wednesday. I immediately started up again as soon as I woke up lol. I've also got an essential oil thieves mix that I applied this morning. I figure it can't hurt!

    Taking a cab to SNA

Thanks, I'll look into Lyft or Uber. Where we live, taking a cab is a pretty rare occurrence so Uber seems weird to me lol. I've seen many good things about it though, and it's affordable so it's definitely worth trying. :thumbsup2

The Unconventional Family Vacation?? Nov 28 - Dec 2

All right, the countdown has begun! Our flight leaves at 6:15 tomorrow morning. I caught the cold my DD had last weekend though. Woke up this morning feeling it, which really stinks. I still need to pack, so this will be interesting.

Disneyland at Christmas/Holiday Season Superthread #5

We leave in less than 24 hours, so I'm loving everyone's notes on how their trips went!! DD had a cold last weekend, and I thought I had dodged the bullet. Nope! Woke up this morning with a full fledged head cold. Luckily, she got over it fast, but now I have to try and pack while I try and...

    Taking a cab to SNA

Thanks! That really helps me. If we call a cab, I'll make sure it's no later than 7:45 I think. Unless I decide I've spent too much and go with the cheaper shuttle. :rotfl:

    Taking a cab to SNA

Our flight home from DL is at 9:50 am on a Wednesday, and I was thinking of taking a cab from DI&S. If we left at 8, do you think that would be plenty of time to get to SNA? I just don't know if there's a chance of traffic being really crazy. If we decided to use Super Shuttle instead, they...

Since the official start of the holidays...

Well, that's disappointing. At least we know for sure what's going on. Thanks!

Since the official start of the holidays...

Tigger was one of our favorite interactions on our last trip! We hadn't planned on any character meals. If I think of it, I'll ask a CM when we get there. I will let you guys know, especially if nobody else finds out before then.

Since the official start of the holidays...

Has anyone seen Eeyore or other Pooh characters around? I read that Santa is now in Critter Country, and I've been checking the character list on the app, but none of them have popped up so far. I really wanted a pic with Eeyore when we go in a little over a week. :confused3

Disneyland at Christmas/Holiday Season Superthread #5

Anyone have any thoughts on where Pooh and friends will be then? Or did I miss that somewhere? I never got to meet Eeyore on my last trip, so that's on my list of must-do's for this trip.

The Unconventional Family Vacation?? Nov 28 - Dec 2

I'm definitely going to opt for starting at DCA that Tuesday. :thumbsup2 So I've decided to try this whole Disney bounding thing. I think it's kind of adorable! I casually brought it up to DD and then showed her some examples, and I'm pretty sure she is going to as well. :cool1: She loves...

How in the world am I supposed to eat all of those within a 4-day timeframe?! :rotfl2: Seriously though, so many great options!

Disneyland at Christmas/Holiday Season Superthread #5

Yay! I'm hoping that Monday and Tuesday will be a little less crowded than that weekend, but I'm not sure we'll be so lucky lol. Either way, it'll be a blast. :goodvibes

I can finally see the schedule and hours for the first 2 days of our trip!!! :cool1: The anticipation might just kill me....six weeks left!

The Unconventional Family Vacation?? Nov 28 - Dec 2

That's great! I know it's easier said than done, but it's so nice to not have that kind of drama that can come with children and custody issues. For some reason, I've been neglecting my planning a bit. I was originally going to do breakfast one morning at Carnation Cafe, but I think I'd rather...

The Unconventional Family Vacation?? Nov 28 - Dec 2

So I think we are going to be at a disadvantage as far as mornings go. We have hoppers for Saturday (afternoon) - Tuesday, and are staying offsite. Our only MM option is our last day, which is fine except for the fact that it's also the only day that we could actually be among the first inside...
