    And the Disney nightmares ensue...

We leave tonight for the airport city (we live in the boondocks, so air travel requires ground travel first) and board tomorrow for WDW. Usually in the days leading up to the trip, my brain is kind enough to play me a loop of park music as I try to sleep (Tiki Room, Figment, etc). But...

MK "Happily Ever After" Dessert Party (Parties) Discussion

Unless the practice has changed since we went last year, they do not start early. As far as coming and going, I'm not sure. But DH and I had to wait until about 7:40 pm to get in last time.

Which resort would you choose to live at?

Ft Wilderness Cabin. Hands down. Super quiet, the water's not too far away, home cookin', awesome porch.

    Country Bears

For the first time in my memory, we sat in a FULL HOUSE for Country Bears on the 4th of July this year. We love this show so much, and I listen to the music for my own entertainment between trips.

For those of you that stay deluxe - what do you do for a living?

I am a respiratory therapist and DH is a manufacturing program manager. We are DVC members. For many years, we deposited a set amount of money per month into a vacation fund for Disney. We realized that, with the number of points we wanted to buy with DVC, we would actually save about $50 per...

SCI-FI reservation with on 90 Min before FP

We eat at Sci-Fi on every trip. The movie/trailer/cartoon loop is 42-45ish min, and it seems they try to keep the avg table turnover no longer than the loop. (Obvi, parties with children or varied app or dessert orders can run longer.) That said, if you get seated in a reasonable amount of time...

What is your typical Disney trip?

We like 6-8 nights, but our previous trip and the next 2 are 4 nights. When the children were young, we didn't go to a park on arrival day. Instead, we visited Disney Springs or explored the resort. Then it was 2 MK days, 2 Epcot days, 1 AK, and 1 HS. On family trips, we had a traditional...

    Official July 2018 Thread!

64 days! It's almost FP+ time! Really excited about our ADRs, which include Liberty Tree Tavern on Independence Day :ssst: and a Star Wars dessert party on 7/2. Not one of our longer trips, but it's gonna be a lot of fun celebrating DS's college graduation.

    Le Cellier....

We ate there on our last trip and enjoyed the meal and our service. We always pay OOP for our meals, and the prices were about what we expected. It is crowded, but we had a good experience. I agree with other posters that 2 TS credits on the DDP is too much, though. We will end there again.

Happy to report that all plans are finalized. Airfare, ADRs, and room plans all in place! July 1-5 in a deluxe studio at SSR. Really looking forward to spending this time with our whole family. We arrived in May last year one day after Pandora opened, and this year, we'll be there one day...

Easy restaurants to get without a reservation?

On our last trip, DH and I had good luck with "last minute" ressies. We had breakfast at The Wave (highly recommended) and made the reservation via the app the night before. We also saw reservations available for Liberty Tree Tavern and 50's Prime Time Diner on the app when we searched for a...

    Official July 2018 Thread!

Doing my happy dance this morning because DH suggested that we visit the first week of July. Pulled a few strings, and we were able to make it happen at Saratoga Springs! We will be bringing DS to celebrate his college graduation, and of course DD will be there to celebrate too. Happy, happy...

Guest experiences with daily room checks

We just completed a stay at CCV 1/19-1/23. Our touring style when we are without our adult children is to have breakfast in our room, leave around 10 am, return around 2 pm, then head back out from 4-9ish pm. "Occupied" sign always on the door when we were in the room and removed when we were...

Disney's WILDERNESS LODGE Information & Questions

Just got back from our first stay as DVC owners at Copper Creek. We could not have been more pleased. Our studio was spacious, bed was comfy, and lighting/outlets were convenient and well-placed. Our bathroom was beautiful as well. Mousekeeping was excellent too. The Lodge itself has always...

Where can I buy and have embroidered class of 2018 Mickey ears?

We got our daughter the type in @scrappingbuckeye 's pic from the ShopParks app just before her spring break last year. I believe you can customize them through the app. Congrats to your grad!
