    Laundry

Also, FYI, you have to use a credit card for the machines. There is a card reader and display on the wall, you can start as many washers and dyers as you need

*Truck and Towing thread........ask your questions here.*

17 loaded. Dodge does make a 3/4 ton that is barely within its limits, but we decided just to go with a 1 ton

*Truck and Towing thread........ask your questions here.*

Today’s question. After some 37 years of having some 6 motor home, I am going to a large (43 foot) 5th wheel pushing close to 17,000 lbs. I am not a Diesel engine fan, but not completely closed to the idea. I am looking a two different Dodge 3/4 ton trucks that are capable of towing this rig...

Lookin for the best RV Loop

100 or 200, if you booked preferred. Both are small loops so the comfort station is not far away and you can walk to the boat dock

Best Sites for 30Ft Camper & 20x20ft Tent?

You can also use a preferred site. We have done this ourselves a few times, but the kicker is going to be a 20x20 tent. I have set up an Outwell Florida 8 a few times in the 100 loop behind my 38’ motor home. It measures about 15 x 20. Width was not a problem, but was close. The length over hung...

    Hybrid TT in August?

Daughter and son in law bought hybrid last year with 3 pop outs. I bought them reflective covers for the outside and cut those insulated panels for the inside for the sides and ends. (As mentioned above) Then I mounted on each pop out opening one of those metal fans like you get at Walmart, I...

Favorite loop at the Fort and why?

When you check in and they have stuck you somewhere wise, just ask them if 100 is available. About half the time they can accommodate you. Keep that app open so they don't stick you in a site like 110 or one of the other short sites.

Someone PLEASE just tell what tent to buy!

There is also a company called Outwell that makes large family vacation tents. When they rate their tents, it is not how many people you can squeeze in, rather how many it can comfortably hold. The one I have I take with us at times when kids and grandkids come along. This one is called the...

Favorite loop at the Fort and why?

About 95% of the time we stay in the 100 loop if possible. Easy walk to the boat dock. It is one of the smallest loops at the Fort. It is considered a preferred campsite. It has a paved area for your RV and a pad with packed sand/crushed shell behind it for a tent. Don't worry, it is very firm...

What is the longest you've stayed at the Fort?

October1, 2012 to January 10, 2013. Brought all our Halloween and Christmas decorations with us. Several inflatables, about 32,000 lights, 2,350 feet of extension cords, along with a 32 channel light sequencer with music and 6 speakers.

    Tent Camping in June

I routinely put a tent on the tent pad behind my motor home but i have never had my site flood. The tent pad mostly consists of crushed shell and sand. It is very firm, firm enough I can put my rear tires on it and my leveling jacks, and they will go down an inch or so. The pad drains well.

How to stay for Halloween and Christmas decorations?

The neat part is when they decorate the Fort One night you will here some noise outside, some banging around, the sound of motors running and that annoying beep, beep of a vehicle backing. When you get up, the fort has been transformed. Garland everywhere - bus stops, lamp posts, etc; plus all...

    Adding an AC unit

I added an extra unit to a 1980's class A I had. They fit through a standard size roof vent opening & are easy to install. But you won't be able to add it to your existing ducted air, without extensive work. You can just get a regular roof air with standard ceiling assembly, but then the...

    Dog question

Ours is about that age & we leave the a/c blower going & sometimes the TV, so she won't hear strange noises & start barking. That aside, if she barks while you are away, unless your neighbors complain directly to you, you probably won't know.

Never camped in a tent before

If you are considering doing this often, buy a good tent. If you are thinking about heating & air conditioning it, consider a tunnel type tent, because many of them are of the 4 season variety, that is, they don't have the large screen area on the roof, that lets out or in heat/cold. They do...

    Mickey inflatable movie screen

3 things to make sure to check on before buying one. How many lumens does it put out, how long does the bulb last, and how much is a replacement bulb. Some bulbs can almost cost as much as the projector itself.
