    Escape Wedding Photography

When we were married, Disney allowed us to keep our Escape package photographer when we hired an outside photographer (not sure if they do that anymore). I was very happy we hired the outside photog because I wasn't pleased with the Disney photos. I think if you have your heart set on a...

Thinking of a Disney escapes wedding at the pavilion in FL...looking for anyone's tip

We had an Escape wedding in the WP during June at Disney! I have photos of our wedding including the cake and flowers in my PJ/TR linked below. There are choices for Escape brides and if you want to go outside of those choices, it may end up costing you a little bit more. But I was able to...

    SeaBreeze Pointe or Wedding Pavilion

We choose the Wedding Pavilion! I actually wanted to have ours at SBP but my husband really wanted the Pavilion - and I'm glad we went with it because it POURED on our wedding day! Of course, weather isn't the sole reason to choose the WP, but it was nice to not have to worry about moving the...

Outside Photographer with No Disney Experience?

Our photographer had only shot one Disney wedding before ours, and it was a while ago when they still allowed outside photogs inside for park weddings. He did an amazing job, and we are completely in love with our photos even to this day! He definitely provided a new style with photos and...

    Question about escape package?

We had an Escape wedding and coordinated an intimate reception dinner at Citricos in the GF after the cake cutting. We were allowed in our full wedding attire and had a portion of the restaurant for our 20 person party. HTH! :goodvibes

    Wedding Dinner

Another vote for Citricos!! We had our wedding reception there and had an amazing experience (reviews in my PJ linked below). As mentioned above, they really do treat you like royalty! We felt like we were the only diners in the whole restaurant and the food was fantastic.

    EPCOT wedding in June?

We were married in June but at the WP and not EPCOT. So here's just my take on the weather - it's definitely hot outside! But as mentioned above, the EPCOT ceremonies are early in the morning which is a huge plus. Also, Florida showers are common in June (it rained during our afternoon...

    Disney resort wedding on budget

Just throwing in more ideas from my experience because we also wanted a small wedding with under 20 guests! We did the Escape package at the WP, which cost a little more but was worth it considering it rained on our wedding day and through the ceremony! We make our own invites, I choose an...

What was your favorite Disney wedding or honeymoon memory?

    1. What was your favorite Disney wedding or Disneymoon memory? Either: 1) walking into Mizner's Lounge during the cocktail hour, after Eric and I finished our photograph time with Jason, to a big applause from the entire lounge (wedding guests and GF guests alike!), or 2) just spending time...

    Rehearsal Dinner Locations?

We had our Welcome/Rehearsal dinner at Ohana. We had about 20 people and it WAS a pain getting seated for us. We waited about an hour before we finally could sit down WITH reservations. I would recommend calling the day before your reservation to ensure they are ready for your group - and...

    After Disney at-home wedding receptions

Ours was scheduled about a month after the wedding. I really wanted our professional photos to be available for family to see...sort of re-create the experience through the pictures. So we waited until we had a sneak peak of about 30 photos. I was so glad we did! We played them as a slide...

    Sand Ceremony ??

We found a glass jar at a craft store that had a cork top. It worked out great because the mouth was wide enough so we didn't need a funnel. The sand also came from the craft store. I don't think we spent more than $10 on the whole thing!

    Photography questions?

If it costs $950 to get the high res CD through Disney, it might also be worth looking into an outside photographer. We went with an outside photographer because of the unpredictable quality of DPS and we were looking for a few additional features that DPS couldn't provide without spending the...

    Our Escape Wedding TR/PJ ~ 06/2010 WP/Mizner's/Citricos

Thank you SO much Solar!! I think it's amazing that you took the time to read our wedding story almost 2 years after the fact. And after nearly 2 years, I wouldn't change one thing about our day. Escape weddings can be absolutely fabulous, and I'm glad you saw that from our wedding. We...

    Escape Brides: getting your date?

I think June is popular since it's the summer and not as hot as July or August. But this doesn't mean it books faster than the other months...from what I've seen with DIS brides, there isn't really one particularly popular month. We were married in early June and didn't have a problem getting...
