    Nov 7 - Ratatouille - Don’t bother

Virginia gets Election Day off from school, too. We're from a large county in northern Virginia and we had Election Day and Veteran's Day off. Next year, they made the Monday a teacher workday so we'll have 3 days off that week. Flights from Dulles to MCO were pretty full last week.

Best resort or neighborhood for condo or house rental

We rented in Reunion last year. The ground are beautiful, including the pools and waterpark. We rented a house directly from the resort, and our issue was that their service was just not up to par. We had a few maintenance issues, including being unable to initially get in the house and the pool...

Lost and Found sippy cups get thrown away?!

Or the baby center. They sell some random baby necessities.

    Favorite cs salads?

The Kale Power Salad at the Contemp Cafe (Contemporary) was really good, too.

    Favorite cs salads?

It's closing soon, but I really liked the Energy Salad at Electric Umbrella in Epcot! The Greek Salad at Cosmic Ray's was a big disappointment.

Saturday Feb 8th Magic Kingdom was shoulder to shoulder

I'm curious what the weather was like. We went the previous week, and yes, crowds were high. One thing I noticed was that because the weather was nice (70's) but not quite swimming weather, we were spending more hours per day in the park. If it had been warmer, we probably would have taken a...

Attractions open during AM EMH at MK

We were there a week and a half ago. We went to Adventure/Frontierland at 9 after doing EMH. Lines weren't too bad for most attractions. However, one thing I discovered is that the line for Thunder Mountain built quickly in the morning. At least when we were there, they were only running 1 side...

Mico TR – First trip as parents!

We were there the same week! We've gone this week the past few years and crowds are definitely up! I knew it would probably be too cold to swim (this week last year with a big cold snap across all of the eastern US - we were wearing out winter coats!) but I do wish it had been warm enough to...

    Transportation to nap on

Monorail, but you'll have to deal with the noise from the doors opening/closing and people getting on and off at the stops. The Epcot loop is the longest so it'll have the least number of stops. Get in one of the cars towards the beginning or end since they might be less crowded.

Thank you to this board, but our upcoming group trip will be one and done!

The planning and scheduling didn't bother me when my husband and I used to go before we had kids....but it is a huge pain with kids! It can be hard to predict their schedules and what rides they'll want to do. My oldest son loved EE at AK during the previous trip but wasn't a fan this one...

    Managing different styles

This! Has he ever tried to entertain a toddler in a hotel room? I can't imagine a 'lazy morning' with my toddler.

Minnie Van Airport Service and Car Seats

A quick heads up - if you're using Minnie Van to or from the airport, make sure they know how many car seats you need. We used them last week, and for the trip back to the airport, the driver showed up with only 1 car seat. They assumed that my 6 year old didn't need one since it's not required...

just magic kingdom for 3 and 1 year old?

We just got back from a trip with a 21 month old. MK is fun but the problem is there isn't much room for them to run around. My kiddo was not a big fan of the stroller, so he got tired of either being in a stroller or on rides. Epcot and AK had much more room for him to run and explore. I know...

Back from a trip with a 6 and almost 2 year old

It's in the Future World section kind of on the way to Test Trek - but more towards the middle if that makes sense. It was themed to Wreck it Ralph for a while, but now it has no real theme.

Back from a trip with a 6 and almost 2 year old

Like I said, I'm not sure what they would have said if we didn't have fastpasses - so I'm not sure if you 100% needed them. We stayed at Bay Lake Towers in a 1 bedroom with rented points. We'd start at rope drop and stay until 3 or 4 each day instead of a mid-day break. My kids are early birds...

Back from a trip with a 6 and almost 2 year old

They do have a playground in Epcot! They're calling it the 'family play area' on all of the construction walls that direct you around the current maze of Epcot, but we did spend a good amount of time there.

Back from a trip with a 6 and almost 2 year old

I just got back from a 5 night trip with my 6 and almost 2 year old. I thought I'd post a few things that might be helpful for families with little kids: - Don't over look the first aid station! During the middle of the day at AK, my 6 year old was complaining of a headache. We stopped by first...

Disney's CONTEMPORARY RESORT Information & Questions

They did last year when we were there, and we're planning to do the same when we get there on Sunday (not worth doing grocery delivery for just a few things!) I will say that they were on the bottom corner of a shelf, so if you don't see them, try asking the CM.

    Renting for 2021

We've had luck getting the resort and room type we want when renting points through an agency the past 2 years, but we've had to be flexible on dates. We rented the rooms 11 months out both times. We do 5 night trips, and it did seem like it would have been much harder to get a full week.

Disney's CONTEMPORARY RESORT Information & Questions

I asked this on the transportation board as well, but does anyone know what they do for transportation from the Contemporary to EPCOT when the monorail is down for planned construction? Is a bus provided directly to EPCOT? Or are we stuck going to the TTC? Thanks!
