Does your stomach drop on Guardians of the Galaxy?

I think it just depends on the kid. My kiddo loved it the first time he rode it at 6 years old, and he was so-so on slinky dog at the time, wouldn't ride Everest. The next year he was 7 and rode it once and was like "yeah that makes my legs hurt, I don't want to ride it again" but then rode...

ROTR - rope drop or ILL?

I think they're available starting at park opening, we've snagged one with a time starting in the first hour of the park being open for sure.

Would you rather - park hopper vs. base tickets edition...

I love park hopping now that we started last year, but in this case I'd go with the 4 day base ticket. 2 days is tough for fitting everything in. We did several trips without park hopping and they were all wonderful!

    Walt Disney World in August

It's hot. Really freaking hot. That being said, we went for 10 days in 2022 and it was totally manageable. There was one day I was sitting in Epcot and I was actually chilly. The heat on the other days was hot but we were fine, and the rain timed up perfectly and never really messed with our...

I finally rode the Tower, lol!

I rode this ride in 2000, on an empty stomach, right after RNRC, and felt sick all day. I have not ridden it since. This past summer my family convinced me to give it another try and I did, thinking maybe it was just a bad combo last time as I generally love thrill rides. Nope. I wanted to cry...

Tiana's Bayou Adventure Opens SUMMER 2024!!

This might be the final thing I need to convince DH that we need another trip this summer!!!

Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge Quick Question

Whispering Canyon abostluely has breakfast on the lunch menu! It was a big selling point for our family last year- we had a 1:40 reservation and my kids all ate waffles! Like others have mentioned, you'll have to walk to MK to get the boat that early in the day but we enjoyed the restaurant!

    Kidani vs Jambo

Depends on what you're looking for but we loved the peace and quiet of Kidani. Jambo definitely has more going on but the shuttle between the two is super easy (much easier and more frequent than I expected). Also, if you're staying in a 1 bedroom, I believe only Kidani has the extra bathroom...

How dark is it in early December - thinking of Animal Kingdom

Even in the summer when it's light later, we were able to see Pandora all lit up by getting in line for FoP 5 minutes before park closing. In December, even if the park ends up closing at 5 or 6 if you jump in line it should be lit up when you come out.

    G+ at AK and EP??

In my opinion, it's more helpful at Epcot than AK. At AK if you're willing to buy the ILL for FoP and get there for early entry, you should be just fine. You could either to Navi at early entry (probably twice if you wanted) and then get in line for the Safari a bit before the park officially...

Mears Connect - where did you stay and how many stops?

AoA, third stop from the airport I believe after CB and Pop. On the way back we made one more stop. The bus was either completely or mostly empty when we got on at AoA, then quickly filled up at the next stop (I believe it was Pop but I may be misremembering).

    Tron and Claustrophobia?

I don't have claustrophobia issues with either (I do in other situations) but the feeling of being held down is way stronger to me on Tron than it is in FoP. I'd go with the special seat if you'd like to experience without that feeling, it is an awesome ride, even if it is too short.

Guardians of the Galaxy and rotr big drops?

I cannot do ToT (I rode it in 2000, gave it another chance last summer at the urging of my family and just no, it was awful), but RoTR and GoG are totally fine. There's a split second drop in Rise but nothing like ToT, and Guardians is smooth and goes up and down but no real "drops" like that.

    Fireworks parties

I've done three MK dessert parties over the years 2012, 2018, and 2022 (the last one was a post-fireworks party). They've always been our last night splurge. Last summer (2023) we went on a trip with less splurges (since we had been the previous year) but DH and DS had never seen HEA and we all...

Very bad experience with candlelight processional last night

Sounds like they asked people to remain seated. It's in the dark right? I'm confused why anyone would think it's ok to get up partway through and stop/stand in the aisle?

Is EE/RD worth it if Not Super Early?

The only time we made sure we were in line more than 10-15 minutes prior to park opening was when we wanted to ride FoP. Even then for a 7:30 EE we were on the bus for AK at 6:45-6:50, through security around 7:05, they let people in at 7:30 pretty much on the dot, and we were on the ride around...

Park hopping - is Genie+ "multiple parks" worth it?

Yes, absolutely. Keep in mind there aren't a ton of rides at AK and you can't use Genie+ more than once on the same ride. Honestly, if you rope drop, you could probably ride everything in AK twice (once standby, once in the LL) with the exception of FoP (and I'd even include that if you're...

What is your parks frequency on WDW trips?(Survey)

In 2022 we did a 10 day trip with 8-9 park days (6 year old son and DH had two days off, I took the older girls to Universal on one of those days). We did it that way so we wouldn't have to rush through the parks, less park days and we would have been racing to see/get to everything (although...

    10/18/23 MK crowds insight

We just watch from the Adventureland side of the hub, then after the fireworks we link a kid to every adult, squirm our way across one lane of traffic, and then go ride a few last rides before the park closes. No reason to push with the hoards of people. We did this during party season in August...

    Potty Training and WDW

I travelled with my week prior to turning 3 year old, who had been SOLIDLY potty trained for a year (started refusing a diaper just before she turned 2) and it was a nightmare. The bathrooms were loud and scary, she started withholding and having accidents, etc etc. We had brought some pull-ups...
