That's a great question. I searched the Internet but came up empty handed. Rocking chairs would be a wonderful addition, though :thumbsup2

Disney's FORT WILDERNESS CABINS & CAMPGROUNDS Information & Questions

You can get them at one of the Settlement Trading Post or The Meadows. The Fort is fairly large...as crow flies, from end to end is about a mile. The walk from 2400 to the dock isn't short, but definitely can be done. I would give myself around 15 minutes...depending on how fast you walk...

3 Generations Wandering the Wilderness from "Cabin" Camping to Club Level-FW & WL

You're too sweet! Thanks. And I guess you noticed that it never was finished. When they switched over to the new format, my dinosaur of a computer wouldn't allow me to post pictures...so, it remains incomplete...lol! Hope y'all have a fabulous trip! Happy planning (the best part to...

Disney's FORT WILDERNESS CABINS & CAMPGROUNDS Information & Questions

It can be done...promise ::yes:: Of course I'm talking out of both sides of my mouth. We've been known to do 15 hour park days. HOWEVER, I will say that the Fort is an awesome place to relax and do nothing. We've actually gone to the Fort and never visited a park. The kids are content to cruise...

Thanks for the link!! :) Never thought about the canvas getting wet and then storing it. Hmmmm....so Tampa has more in attendance. Interesting. Several of the people we spoke with in Tampa said Hershey was bigger. Guess it really doesn't matter....they are both HUGE! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2...

Ok wow! Now I see the difference in size of shows :scared1: 62,000 in attendance at Tampa?! Thanks for the link. Wish we could make the Jacksonville show since it's so close, but we'll be out of town that weekend. Any idea how many attend at Hershey?? Not that it's important...just curious. I...

Florida RV SuperShow - lots of great RVs for the Fort!!

WHAT?!! Hmmmm...:scratchin And that's about an hour closer for us than Tampa. Wish my weekend could handle it. By the way, what type of camper do you have? Isn't it a pop-up of some sort? The reason I'm inquiring is for my sister and her husband. They love to camp and go quite frequently...in a...

Disney's FORT WILDERNESS CABINS & CAMPGROUNDS Information & Questions

The latest we've ever been able to check out is 12:15 and they didn't charge us. Of course it was a slow time at Disney. When we were at the YC last September, we asked for a late check-out, and they said no. I could be wrong, but if it's going to be later than noonish, I think they will charge...

Florida RV SuperShow - lots of great RVs for the Fort!!

:thumbsup2 Good advice. I keep hoping our local Camping World dealer will get that model in so we can take a look. We've written down what is needed most in the camper, so at least we know what we're looking for. Definitely has to have a bunkhouse of some sort. We like the Sandpiper, also...the...

Florida RV SuperShow - lots of great RVs for the Fort!!

Last weekend the family ventured to Tampa for the RV show. I'm sure many of y'all have been, so you're aware of the wide variety to choose from. We spent 2 days trying to immerse ourselves into the world of RVing. Learned quite a bit and actually narrowed it down.... Jesse, our youngest son...

Howdy!! So good to "see" you on the Boards. We LOVE Fort Wilderness. In fact we love it so...

Disney's FORT WILDERNESS CABINS & CAMPGROUNDS Information & Questions

I could be wrong, but I'm thinking they don't offer it any more. I tried to search for it and found nothing. Sounds like a great tour, though.

Disney's FORT WILDERNESS CABINS & CAMPGROUNDS Information & Questions

:scratchin Hmmmm.... if I can remember correctly, there wasn't much storage as there was a portable crib, broom and dustpan in there. Believe it or not, we had plenty of space for our belongings. Of course we used every inch of the bathroom cabinets, cabinets in the bedroom and den, and the...
