    Debt Dumpers 2024

I definitely have had some serious losing streaks, but I only take what I can afford to lose and usually take $100 plus my freeplay. I get a decent amount of weekly freeplay money so it helps to "pad the bankroll" for date nights. But ever since I quit working I definitely have been on a hot streak.

    Debt Dumpers 2024

Had an exceptionally good date night to the casino the other night and came home with quite a bit more than we went in with. We've had plans to do some work to the outside of our house once hubby's sister sells their dad's house, but now we can start this weekend. Heading to Lowes for dirt...

    Debt Dumpers 2024

Take the trip. My dad passed at 64 and while he had a bunch of money in retirement and savings, he never got to go on all the trips he was planning on. I hate he never got to go to some of the places he wanted to because he was waiting for retirement to enjoy it and he didn't even make it that...

    Debt Dumpers 2024

We've been so busy with kids stuff I haven't had time to think. Lol. But I am proud I've been making food at home instead of picking something up after practices.

Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend (Oct. 31-Nov. 3, 2024)

Well, I'm out for W&D. Missed registration because our car broke down the week before we went on vacation and all my extra funds went to a rental so we could keep our plans. I'm bummed, but I also have a local half marathon in November anyway, so not too bummed. Might try for a Disneyland race...

    2024 Summer Virtual Series

I wanted to do this as motivation for my half marathon in November. Something to keep me going during the ungodly hot summer months, but the price was way more than I wanted to pay. Got an interesting email the morning from Echelon (I have their spin bike and treadmill) saying that they had...

    Debt Dumpers 2024

You should have seen me trying to slide my ID out the door for her to scan while trying not to cough. She said "I was going to ask how you were, but the order and the way you look miserable answers that already." I laughed at that and gave her an extra tip for the giggle. We're all feeling...

    Debt Dumpers 2024

We're all sick, so Easter was pretty low key yesterday. Threw a roast from our beef in the crock pot, already had some carrots, celery, and onions on hand as well as the gravy and au ju packets. Only needed hubby to grab some little potatoes and green beans from the store and we had an amazing...

I love the Budget Mom and have her planners also! I'm going to check out the Budgeting Wife. For organic and natural I follow a lady who does grocery hauls on youtube and "what my kids ate" type videos. She's very conscious about what's in foods. Granted, there's 13 people in their family but I...

    Debt Dumpers 2024

When you cash flow something, it basically means you pay for it in cash (no credit cards, payment plans, etc) and it doesn't affect your normal budget. At least that's how I think of it. And most insurance companies you can pay your premium in advance or do monthly payments. I even had one...

    Debt Dumpers 2024

Finally home from 9 days away. Had an amazing time visiting with family, 2 zoos, 3 museums, and a trip to Ikea. We probably went over budget, but I'm not sad about it. We got some great ideas for the house while poking around Ikea that are inexpensive but will really make the house look great...

    Debt Dumpers 2024

I'll keep those in mind, but this rental was 0% planned. Our car broke down, we were an hour from home, and no car rental places were open except the airport at that time. We had one for the first week but needed to return it (hoping ours would have been fixed by then) and just got lucky we got...

    Debt Dumpers 2024

I hate rental car companies and their stupid expensive price gouging because it's spring break. That is all.

    Eat at Home 3!

The last few posts have me putting roast beef sammiches on the menu for after vacation.

    Debt Dumpers 2024

I will forever recommend Christine to anyone and everyone. I've followed her since before the pandemic when she blew up and she's helped me save SO MUCH on my groceries. And I'm obsessed with her family's "budget" vacations that look anything but budget.

    Debt Dumpers 2024

From someone who was in an abusive relationship previously, I'm saying this with kindness. Your wife is gaslighting the heck out of you. Between the sneaking around with money, the refusal to get finances straight, putting you down your efforts to improve your health, it's 100% gaslighting. She...

    Debt Dumpers 2024

We looked up the Kelley Blue Book on the van. It's a 2017 with 107k miles on it. It's saying we'd get about 6k for it, which sucks because we bought it in 2022 for $30k. It is what it is. Since we bought it in November of 2022, we have taken it in twice in the first 60 days of owning it for not...

    Debt Dumpers 2024

This is key! I always tried to budget what I thought I SHOULD be at instead of what the reality was. It took months to get it down to reality.

    Debt Dumpers 2024

When we get back from vacation it appears we will be car shopping. We went to the Home and Garden show yesterday and when we went to leave, the van wouldn't start. Again. Had to grab an Uber to the airport (the only place open after noon on a Saturday) to get a rental just so we could get home...
