    Question for high school parents

DS graduated HS in 2015, and he was playing HS soccer starting in 8th grade. We're a very small town, and received a waiver from the state association allowing 8th graders to play on JV. However....they could not cut an upperclassman for an 8th grader. He tried out again as a Freshman and...

    Check your JetBlue Flights

Typically when airlines are changing flights, or making schedule adjustments, the notifications will go out to the folks who's upcoming travel is sooner, kind of like rolling notifications. We're booked with JetBlue to Aruba in August, and the flights have both changed 2x already. I...

    Noise cancelling headphones for flight

Your AirPod Pros will not behave like Airplanes. I also have very bad ear pain while flying so I use Earplanes, and over the ear, noise cancelling headphones (Bose for me too, their NC is top notch)

    Savannah Travel Suggestions

We went to Savannah last August for 3 days before we got to Hilton Head. Loved the Ordinary Pub. Also, we spent a delightful 3 hours while on a hop on hop off trolley tour at Mint to Be Mojito bar, and we are still talking about it. Best mojitos any of us have. Ever had, super fresh...

Putting in for vacation time at work

My husband is a union delivery driver. He has 6 weeks vacation and 5 personal days. They start choosing vacations in November for the following year. It’s done by seniority, and they have a certain number of people who can be out each week. They can choose all their vacations consecutively...

Budget Conscious but Reliable: Equinox, CX-5, Outlander, or CX-9?

VERY nice. That's the same color combo I got my CX-30 in. It's so pretty in the sun. Enjoy it

Budget Conscious but Reliable: Equinox, CX-5, Outlander, or CX-9?

So far, no maintenance other than oil changes. Still running flawlessly. We went with the slightly upgraded version with heated seats & sunroof. The infotainment system works really well with my phone (Apple Car Play). The only thing I can't figure out is that in 2021 you could not get the...

Budget Conscious but Reliable: Equinox, CX-5, Outlander, or CX-9?

I have a 2021 CX-30, that I’ve had just over a year, and I still LOVE IT. When we were shopping I drove the CX-5, and CX-30, and for the extra money, the CX-5 did not wow us over the CX-30.

    Spirit or Frontier Airlines??

Have never flown Frontier, had one terrible Spirit experience 15 years ago, and have still never flown them again. That being said, the airline industry is in SUCH chaos right now, I'd be super leery of booking either in the near term. With the overall number of flights currently being...

Jetblue non-stop flight DCA to MCO gone now

I’d log on and check your flights due to this: https://www.cnbc.com/2022/04/10/jetblue-is-cutting-its-summer-schedule-to-avoid-further-flight-disruptions.html

Cass, Rob & Kira - UO & Disney Fantasy - Two Old Farts and a Teenager

I'll chime in on this. The Wahlberg's are local to a section of Boston and growing up they were fairly low income, and 'government cheese' is what was part of the offerings for families collecting welfare. Basically a GIANT block of either white or orange "American Cheese Food Product" (or...

    Thanksgiving airfare

We are actually flying from Boston into Tampa on Thanksgiving day, and then driving down to Marco Island on JetBlue. Snagged a fare of $159 (it's up to $204 now--so still not terrible). We are flying home from Ft Myers, but right now, it looks like you could fly into Tampa on Thanksgiving, and...

    JetBlue changing flight times

My August/September flights to/from BOS to Aruba have both changed slightly (booked 2/13). I do have to accept the changes, but since they are only about 20 minutes or so, it’s no big deal. Going to wait and see if any more changes occur.

Do you like your Pro soccer team’s crest/kit (jersey)? (Not a question on the sport)

New England Revolution just changed their crest, and the new kit is gorgeous.

Back with Another Question - Rental Cars/Alamo

I agree with other posters. It's not going to be a 'problem' per se, because Alamo does ultimately want their car back. However, changing your drop-off mid stream to a different location, in a different state, could very likely trigger some significant uncharges for a one-way rental. I'd...

    This half time has to

I thought they did a great job. Excellent throwbacks. And I’ve been lucky enough to see Mary J Blige live, years ago, and she is an incredible vocalist.

Spirit changed flight by 7 hrs in April

OP--I don't think Spirit & Frontier's merger announcement today, has much to do with your cancelled flights. I'll echo what others have said, when things don't go right with Spirit, they are VERY challenging. When everything is fine, they are perfectly capable of getting you from Point A to...

East Cost…you guys ready for some snow?

We wound up with just a shade over 2 feet (SE Mass here). Never lost power, so we were just hanging at home. Everything is pretty much cleared up now, so we’ll just have to keep an eye on the snow melt later in the week

East Cost…you guys ready for some snow?

SE Mass here. In line for anything from 1 foot to 2+….really just depends on where everything tracks. If we lose power for an extended period of time, we’ll head to my parent’s house. They are in FL, but have a gas fireplace, that does not need electricity to turn on (we can light it with the...

The things we do for our spawn...

DH and I had no idea what to expect with DS. We would up being all in with soccer. He started playing town rec at 5, graduated to town travel at 9, joined his club at 11, played for his club through high school, played for his high school, and played for his college team. The craziest trips...
