    DAS changes coming WDW

Yes, and no. Subpart B under Title 3 states full and equal enjoyment, so accommodations are to provide the equivalent access to a theoretical non disabled person. But there is no requirement that a person receive their preferred accommodation, just one that effectively provides equivalent access

    Genie Service

I definitely see this happening, I happened to look at my digital membership cards yesterday. We bought resale first, and when we purchased direct the card for our resale was mailed out as a blue card, when I looked yesterday the direct membership was a blue card and the resale had reverted to a...

    AKV issues

Anyone else tried to book at 11 months for Jambo with Kidani points and get the "you can only book at 7 months with non-home resort points" message. I had availability for the room I wanted at the time I wanted to go ready to hit at 8 am and got shot down. I know this had been a problem when...

    Use year question

This! We go twice a year, once in March-May using my December UY, and again in Sept-Nov using my September UY. So far that is working well for us, we have a May trip planned that likely won't be happening, but since they are Dec. UY points I have until July to bank them to use in spring of 2021

Have any other DVC owners lost their points because of Disney's closures?

When we were finally able to be in a position to buy our 1st DVC contract, I spent months scouring the boards to learn all that I could, tips/tricks/advice. I just want to thank everyone who posts, or has ever posted to these boards. This discussion should be mandatory reading before anyone...

Obtaining DAS from the back entrance to Epcot.

Just renewed my DAS at the back entrance last weekend, there is a small guest service building just before the entrance with 2 windows for ticketing and two for guest services, there was no line at all and I walked right up to the window and was done in 2 minutes.

    ECV Trailer

There are carriers with ramps that you can use instead of a trailer as well, I have one on the back of my vehicle that I paid under $100.00 for and it has made multiple trips. I attaches to the hitch just like a trailer would, but I don't need to use the electrical cables because there are no...

    Weekend getaway strategies?

Just did a weekend over Labor Day, we had reservations for Savi's Workshop and Oga's Cantina so that was the plan for arrival night. Since Dorian was a threat, there was no traffic driving down and we got there earlier than expected so we hopped over to EPCOT for Food and Wine while we waited...

    Change of Mind

I think you are spot on, I'm a DOD civilian and when asked by AD colleagues about DVC, I recommend against it until they are at least close to their end of service. With the current military discounts they are paying about the same for an identical room as I pay with points/fees but have no long...

Wait time for direct from Disney

I already had two use years, different home resorts, and needed a few more points at BWV to round out how we want to use them.

Wait time for direct from Disney

I went on the wait-list for BWV points last Thursday, got the call yesterday they were available and had them in my account this morning (and booked a trip for Labor Day weekend using them)! I think it is going faster these days, but it all depends on what they have taken in ROFR and how many on...

Disabled Parking at the Studios During Construction

We were there last weekend and parked in the HC lot and it seemed to be the same lot we have always parked in, it just took us longer to get there because of the new entrance. Interestingly, as we were driving there we noted that the overflow HC parking area now has traditional HC spots, with...

Should buses be modified to take >2 scooters?

Several times, that is when they direct me to drop the ramp while in the travel lane and unload the scooter before pulling into the parking space. Occasionally, when I am forceful enough they allow me to go into the empty HC parking area and park, accompanied by eye rolls and sighs of exasperation.

Should buses be modified to take >2 scooters?

Just gonna throw this out there we always drive to Disney, have a HC placard and a large scooter on a carrier on the back of our SUV. Yet despite that, half the time that we have parked at a park (especially EPCOT), we get sent to the overflow HC parking area where there are long single, nose to...

    military salute tickets...

We went down with my son and his girlfriend and activated their tickets, but DH came in a couple of days after us, we were not able to activate his ticket without him there. Had to go back when he got in to get his activated so it varies.

    choice for next trip

Took DGS to Disney for the first time at 2.5, BLT all the way if you can get it. Not only did we love the short walk to MK, but he really enjoyed the splash pads at both BLT and the Contemporary. Plus his parents wanted to keep close to his normal schedule, which meant an early bedtime. We were...

WDW ride suggestions for an adult with joint instability and mild motion sickness

I am going to add a caution here that may or may not make a difference for you depending on how unstable your neck is. I have a C3-C7 cervical fusion and mild instability in the levels above the fusion. The period when the cars go backwards is also going down hill and there is no neck or back...

I saw the posting about the change in booking now allowing you to modify reservations online this afternoon so logged on to check on my wait-list, and saw that it had come through and my reservation had been changed, 10 minutes later I received an email confirmation for the wait-listed room.This...
