    Different port arrival times

Long story but two of the members of our party of 9 waited until 12 days before the cruise to do the online checkin. They have a port arrival time of 1:45 PM and the rest of us have 11 AM. We are all on the same private van service from Pop Century. Will they let them in the terminal with us or...

Using Disney gift cards at HS

Hi everyone. We are a few days out from our park visit. I am thinking that I will just give my teenagers a disney gift card for snacks/drinks etc... in case they are not with me for part of the day. Do most if not all of the food/drink options as HS take gift cards for payment? Any places I...

    Evening EMH at HS

Just got the notice a couple of days ago that they have added EMH for our HS day January 19th from 8-10 PM. How do they know if you are a resort guest or not? Does anyone know if this will substantially help with ride times later in the day? I don't think there is any shot we will get a...

Highly recommend ziplining in Skagway. Still a fav excursion after multiple cruises. We booked on our own and saved some money too.

Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

I just booked for Jan 2020 this week. I was surprised at how much higher the rates were. We paid $167 for a Friday, Saturday, Sunday stay in regular rooms. I am really hoping the rates go down! In the past the rates have been different on different nights so having the same rate for all 3 nights...

    Disney Fantasy "Star War's Day at Sea" February 10th - 17th, 2018

We were on the same cruise and really enjoyed your report. I actually found some of my family in your atrium pictures! It was a great week!

Nachi Cocom vs Paradise Beach in Cozumel

We really enjoyed Paradise Beach. I would agree with above though - we had 10 and 12 year old strong swimmers with us and they couldn't get up on the inflatables. We really enjoyed the pool and having good food and drinks delivered to your chair was awesome. I thought the prices were reasonable...

    Atlantis in Nassau

We are planning on doing the waterpark there on our upcoming cruise stop. It will just be myself and my 13 YO daughter. I am wondering from those of you that have been there. Would you be okay letting her do the slides by herself? I am more a lay by the pool person but would move from slide to...

CARNIVAL VS DCL: The discussion and comparison thread!

Cruise isn't until April next year. So I am hoping to get an upgrade offer to a better room. If not, I will be okay with what we have but it is still annoying. Not going to ruin the trip but is something that shouldn't even be an issue if they were more flexible.

CARNIVAL VS DCL: The discussion and comparison thread!

I offered to move to a higher category room but they still wouldn’t give me a room with what I want. I’m like you with my kid. I’d rather suffer in a twin than fight for bed space

CARNIVAL VS DCL: The discussion and comparison thread!

I currently have a room with a twin and a sofa bed. I haven’t slept on a twin for awhile so I would like to find a room with a full size bed for me and a couch or bunk for my kid. They wouldn’t let me move to a room like that because it holds 3 people. Kind of silly!

    Doing carnival after only DCL

We are on the Freedom out of Galveston. We want to sail a specific week she will be on spring break and it was the best fit for that. I’m excited to try it all

CARNIVAL VS DCL: The discussion and comparison thread!

Can I vent for a second? I can tell you right now difference with carnival and DCL that is not very customer friendly. I have a carnival cruise booked currently for my daughter and myself. I was trying to get a cabin that would have a king/queen bed for myself and a bunk or sofa bed for my...

    Doing carnival after only DCL

I am with you. We currently have a spring break 2019 cruise booked with Carnival. 2 people inside cabin 7 nights for $1300 total. A cruise the same week on Disney was only 5 nights in an inside for $3331. That $2K plus difference will pay for the soda package, airfare, excursions, spa etc...

    Galveston port

Hoping those with experience can chime in. We have sailed out of Port Canaveral several times but have our next cruise out of Galveston. Can anyone compare the two boarding processes? Anything we should know to make it smoother? I am pretty sure we will be flying into Houston Hobby airport so...

    Wi fi package on Royal

Sailing the Mariner of the Seas in November for a work conference. Since it's for work I won't be bringing my daughter. I was wondering if the wifi on board to purchase would work for facetiming her for a few minutes every night. Or it is not good enough for streaming? Thanks for any advice.

    Refreshment package on RC

    Refreshment package on RC

I know! I just got off a Disney cruise Saturday. I am very curious to compare the cruise lines even though it will mostly be a working vacation. I've never been to Miami either so looking forward to that too. It is a LOT less expensive than DCL so not expecting the same experience.

    Refreshment package on RC

Jumping ship in November for my first RC cruise (for a work conference). Part of the package is a free "refreshment package" for the cruise. Is there a soft drink machine anywhere on RC like the one at the pool deck on DCL? Or, do you have to go to a bar to order? Also, it says premium coffee...
