We lost our two 20-year old trees in our front yard in the last 3 years with the crazy winter storms we had in Austin. Same thing all over town. We’re a city of baby trees now. We definitely mourned the loss.

Yes! I miss the 1040EZ and racing to the post office to get the date stamped on filing day. EZ peasy. We are among the Turbo Tax users now. I did mine and my kid’s taxes this week with TT.

We always spend some time in San Diego after our DLR trips so we fly in and out of San Diego. Fly in on a Saturday or Sunday. Grab lunch in Old Town and then head on up the 5 to DLR. Dinner and shopping in Downtown Disney that night and an early wake for the parks the next day. Works like a charm.

This is a perfect response to the entire scenario. Seems like everyone wants the teachable moment to be walking away and telling the child that people have a bad day sometimes. Truly it should be a teachable moment about manners and speaking up when others treat you badly.

The thing is these teachable moments go both ways. It’s perfectly ok to speak out and let the person know they were being rude. Spectrum or not. I have plenty of family members on the spectrum. None of them would do what the OP described or what you have described here because they have been...

Coming in late to this party with my two cents. Anyone threatens to shove anything anywhere on my kid, they will get an earful right back and wish they never came to work that day. Period. I’d post about it on their google reviews, yelp and social media, too.

No energy to cook tonight, so we had fruit/veggie smoothies.

Sometimes you just need something simple like a chicken salad sandwich on squishy white bread and potato chips. It hit the spot.
