    Wearing masks...

I understand the real little ones not wearing a mask, but when they are older like 7 or 8 I do believe that they should.

    Wearing masks...

We've been getting some snide comments from people not wearing masks. Surprisingly one was from a young mother pushing an infant in a shopping cart. What bothers me most is the adults wearing the masks but the children with them are not.

Someone is interested in buying our home

We have found that if you price your house at say $200,00.00 and the appraisal comes in at $150,000.00 the bank will not loan more than the appraisal. The buyer than has to come up with the difference if they really want to house or you would need to come down. The trick is to see just what the...

Let’s lighten up - for those of us married or engaged how did it happen?

Started talking in Science class in high school and haven't stopped. 55 yrs later we still listen to each other. No real proposal just assumed we would get married.

    Waffle Maker

I started out with a Mickey waffle iron and when my daughter got married I gave it to her for her kids. I now have a Cuisinart that has removable plates that also can be changed with plates that I can grill with. Plates come off and go into the dishwasher so easy to clean.

Most Memorable Weather Event You've Experienced?

We moved to Wilmington just in time for Hurricane Florence. Spent way to much getting supplies that we didn't have but needed. Went thru blizzards and minus degree weather in North Dakota along with the spring time tornado. Dodged tornados along Interstate 70 in Colorado and rains that flooded...

My daughters school was already providing breakfast and lunch for all the school kids . Now they are doing bagged breakfast and lunches for the kids thru middle school. I'm sure no one is checking to see how old the kids are. Since she has 4 kids she get 4 bags. The only thing is they get 4...

    Wildlife in your yard.

We have deer all the time. Came home one night and there were 4 right by my garage door. Rabbits live under our shed and in the bushes. Assorted birds are always here, yellow-bellied sapsuckers, robins, cardinals, blue jays, and sparrows. Canadian geese are all over the place, they are...

What kind of Dr do you have?

I agree to find one associated with an university. They seem to get all the latest and greatest info. Right now I have an Internal Med/ PC. I also see an endocrinologist, podiatrist, and ophthalmologist. Although a lot of plans call for referrals to specialist mine does not.

    Any Grad Nite memories?

I have to agree on that. We went so many times CMs knew us. Haunted Mansion wasn't open when we went. 1968. Those were great times going to DL. It was closed on Mondays. Tickets were only $5. I remember getting our first AP. Went to a party much like GN and still have the sweatshirt. How times...

If you had a few days to explore North Carolina..

I love Wilmington, maybe because I live there. Like others have said there are the beaches, the Battleship. Fort Fisher, and a lot of history. Great places to eat and the brewery are amazing.
