Given the correct information provided above, why not try for a room at Swan and/or Dolphin? Less pricey than a Boardwalk, Y&B Resort and would provide you with the access you are seeking.

We have always enjoyed the lobby level rooms as well, exception being the EPCOT end some of which have the annoying criss cross wood patterns over the window.

At the EPCOT end of the Dolphin, you will need to take an elevator from the lobby down to the first floor to reach the rooms, unless I am not remembering correctly. I know we never found egress, other than the fire door (which does not provide access to the first floor after exiting) or the...

Yes, you are able to request more coffee from housekeeping at BCV. We bring our own coffee from home as well and bring regular flat bottom filters for a 10-12 cup pot. Pods are also provided for the regular coffee pot.

With the addition of Rosa Mexicano, Picabu has changed the menu and is not focused on Tex-Mex at all. In fact, we couldn't get anything Tex-Mex in October 2023--pizza, chicken and various meal entrees in the afternoon and evenings. Breakfast is still good too! We really enjoyed Rosa...

Limited seating and first come, first served. I have seen folks queuing at 10:00 a.m. in hopes of getting a bar seat. I agree, this would be the only way I would return.

When we have been there the walkways were not closed to guests or anyone for that matter. The food stalls were set up along both the causeway between S&D and the walkway between Swan and the main pool. People freely traversed the area whether a part of the party or not--note, you couldn't...

We have been at both Dolphin and Swan during these events and it was not an issue for us.

We have, a few times over the years, and it was a total nonissue. We have also stayed during the huge conventions, e.g., Gartner Symposium. Again, other than extra buildings--nonissue to the guests until the bars start hopping in the lobby late at night.
