Judging from this thread, you still need a Ph.D. to understand this overly complicated, labyrinthine system... Last year, Disney promised much-needed, overdue changes to this boondoggle. Still no sign of those??

This is screamingly overdue, of course., and they need to do it at MK, too. We (alleged adults) like the ride, but I always hold my breath in that area, since you can smell the fumes. I will miss the noises of the cars, though; hopefully, as someone mentioned, they'll pipe in simulated noise?

Before the pandemic, we were making one trip per year (flying in from Canada, and always in October) and doing 9-10 park days. We would also do a Halloween party, on the night before our departing flight. Since we do our favorite rides multiple times, we still missed something on every trip...

Is this a good attraction? I've heard so little about it since it opened.

The shortest wait we ever had near closing (pre-Covid, but I think it would be about the same today) was on a day that had seen heavy rains in late aft/early evening. You could see the crowds steadily leaving the park. Three in my group stayed in the park, and were rewarded with short wait...

During the DAH events, do all rides have a standby line? Or do you still have to go through the tiresome VQ system for Tron and GOTG?

So the good news is that it's opening early. The bad news is when we see what inferior replacement they foisted on us :( Maybe we'll finally make that bucket list trip to Tokyo Disney, to experience the real Splash Mountain again.

What if you get in line for FOP five minutes or less before closing time? There are no more LLs after closing.

We've always visited WDW for 9-10 park days. For a long time, we were going to Orlando every two years (alternating with California/DLR). Our last visit was in 2019, so again, ten days isn't excessive. I don't trust the new hodgepodge of Genie+, VQs etc. -- all that overly convoluted tech...

O.P. here. Thanks for the responses. We will be staying at an All-Star, so we will have access to early entry. We will be at WDW for ten park days, so we will attempt to do (almost) everything. No one park is top priority, because our group has diverse tastes. We don't want to get into that...

Low wait times have been reported this summer, so that should compensate for ride closures. I've often been pessimistic about my trips, because both negative and positive things are reported on these boards. But we've always had a wonderful trip.

And they needlessly closed Splash Mountain for 18 months (or longer?) to work on its inferior replacement. Don't get me started on Salt Mine Mountain... Disney is supposed to be doing routine maintenance during off-hours, to prevent many of the breakdowns. The parks are practically keeping the...

Is it possible to book G+ and ILL on your My Disney Experience account? Or is it just with the app? Also, how long do you tend to wait in line with a paid ILL? I've heard that the boarding groups might have you waiting for 40 minutes. Thanks!

The current plan is to do both; show up during the day at MK, and just stay for the party. I just have to decide if we will also keep an additional MK reservation on another party day, with the plan of leaving at 4 p.m. Is that a good plan? Thanks for the comments.

The preceding 74 pages are the reason that I will be trying to book ILL first, before anything else. I trust this VQ crap about as far as I can throw it.
