Does that mean that Off the Rails will no longer be on Youtube? It's one of my favorites!

Do Universal hotels have gate guards like Disney?

I can only speak to Royal Pacific - there was no guard gate there.

    Skipping rope drop

It's been about 20 years since I've hit rope drop. My husband is a 3rd shifter ( midnight to 8a ) so when we vacation, even at Disney, we take it a bit slower. We arrive closer to 11a and in the past I would plan our FPs for those 1st few hours to get our Must Do's out of the way. Everything...

Happily Ever After viewing spot - avoiding crowds > seeing projections

We watched in 2019 from right in front of Crystal Palace. It was pretty good viewing and not as bad as the crush right at the hub. We've also watched from behind the castle on a different trip. You don't get the projection but you do get the fireworks. Because the fireworks are part of the...

    Package pickup to resort

This is the one thing I am hoping comes back soon. I'm assuming it's staffing issues and until that's back up to speed it won't be back but a girl can hope! I'd even settle for the front of the park.

    DVC points

It's worth doing as long as you do your homework and understand all the terms and conditions. Luckily, places like DVC Rental make it easy with an availability link, a good FAQ section and their policy is a bit more flexible than other companies.

    Magic Band Release

Since we had only 1 trip/resort booked I had to do them all at the same time. I could have declined mine and purchased in the park but I found another that I liked just as much as the original.

CSR v CBR need to cancel one

If you can get Gran Destino Tower then I would do Coronado. If not, then Caribbean Beach for the Skyliner and the ability to walk to the Riviera. Topolino's ( at Riviera ) has one of the hottest character breakfasts on site right now. ( It's tough to get so if you want to go here make it a...

    Phone Lines Down?

If it can wait, I'd give it until Thursday ( but before June 15th as that's when Boo Bash opens to the general public so that day will be murder as well ). Calling after 5p e s t also helps in my past experience.

    Resort Prices

I hear ya with the price increase - 3 years ago I stayed at AKL for slightly less than my CBR trip this year, almost identical weeks in September. I considered canceling a few times to wait it out until 2022 but we really need a vacation so we'll pay what we pay this year. On the other side...

Disney resort for one night to enjoy amenities

Another vote for Animal Kingdom Lodge. The resort is just beautiful and stay in Jambo House vs. Kidani Village. The down side though is as of right now, most of the dining is closed. Wilderness Lodge just got a refurb too and I like the dining at this location. It's a short boat ride to MK...

    Relaxing Activities?

    1. Sleep in some and treat yourself to a sit down breakfast at least once on your trip. Someplace quieter, like Olivia's, the Wave or Grand Floridian Cafe. 2. Do a date night if you can and take a walk around Crescent Lake and maybe a ride on the Skyliner. 3. Lunch at Boatrights ( outside...

    Food and Wine Festival Tips

I'd also have a plan if you have a little one with you. Booths menus will be released around the week the event starts. Note the places you want to try so you can scope out places to take a break if needed. If you don't want to do the Remy Scavenger Hunt, there are a lot of fun one's online...

    Best Tip or advice

Don't try to do it all - it's impossible. We were there 10 nights for our Honeymoon and still didn't get a chance to do everything we had hoped to. Don't run from attraction to attraction. There's no much detail in the parks, take time to appreciate it.

Will parks be crowded Oct 4-8, 2021?

I think that week will be crowded. Our trip ends September 24th and hotels are sold out starting around the 22nd for several days. I think this year, it's going to be busier than typical, not only because of the Anniversary but I think people just want to travel.
