    Disneyland for Spring Break 2022

The crowds do get big, but, the hours usually are extended. This is where staying on site when they have MM/EE is such a blessing. It is so nice to go into the park at 7am for an hour before it is opened to the public (especially for DCA because it was truly for hotel guests only). Even though...

    Starting park during Oogie Boogie

I think Disneyland would be the same, or a little lighter because people who do not purchase the party ticket will pop on over to Disneyland at the latest 6pm.

How far ahead are you on your bills?

We were before the lockdown. Now, I am trying to get us back to where we were prior lockdown. Hubby works construction, so it is always feast or famine type pay, so, we are stocked up on everything. Have been this way close to 40 years.

    Purchasing/Reserving thru Costco?

Plus, you can put a down payment on the package (do the very minimum), then, you can pay the rest with Disney gift cards (I get cards from Target and save 5%). It adds up. Plus, if you have the Costco card that gives you back 2%, you get that too.

Grand Californian - What am I missing?

For our family, the values are: by the afternoon/end of the day, my hip is sore I can barely walk, the room is very close and every step counts. For my dh and kids, the number 1 item is they can ride Grizzly Rapids over and over until they are soaking wet, and be back in the room and into dry...

    Grand Californian

What I do is purchase Disney Gift Cards at Target and get the 5% off, combine them, $1000 max per card, and pay the balance when I check in to the hotel.

    Anyone going in November?

I would suggest checking out dapperdays.com They sell some really neat things on their website (clothes, pins, etc). They have their schedule listed on their website. Such a great time to go and explore (and shop).

Good arrival night dinner options for a party of 8

Craftsman Grill in the Grand Californian Hotel has something for everyone. Plus, if you sit out on the patio (you exit to it behind the cashier) you can see into DCA and hear the crowds.

2021 Halloween Time Superthread *September 3-October 31* *Oogie Boogie Bash Returns on Select Nights*

If you are on the fence about going to the party and are staying onsite, past parties, the hotels had some tickets for purchase only for hotel guests. You can ask when you check in, (you will have to get up and be at the front desk when they open at 6am to purchase the tickets).

***Official SEPTEMBER 2021 Check in Thread

They changed the pizza too. I wish they would bring back the individual pizza with the salad. Put it on the kid's menu, it was awesome and the price was perfect too. It seems when they have something that is simple, everyone loves it and it is priced reasonable, they get rid of it.

    Early Entry Speculation

Oh, that is so sad. It is tiny treat after a nice day in the parks that reminds us why we love staying at the Grand. All these little things add up; MM/EE, coffee from the CGrill, etc. Chip them all away, and all you have is unhappy guests.

Is the Club Level Experience at Grand Californian Hotel worth it?

I just don't know why, but the coffee made in the room always tastes awful to me. I use bottled water, etc. I end up waiting until the afternoon when I get up from a nap to get a coffee from Starbucks. (This is after MM/EE into the parks and a late breakfast/early lunch either in the parks or...

What to do with 3-4 hours around Anaheim/Long Beach

In DTD, World of Disney, Disney Home Store, and Steve and Kai (youtubers) have said they have also seen them in the Dress store right by the entrance into GCH from DTD. They are 9.99 plus tax. I really want one. Disney, if you are reading this, please make one in the colors of Mickey, one of...
