*HHI Owners and Beach Lovers Group Thread*

Unfortunately, my new Whirlpool dryer does not have the hamper door. I agree with you. It is an important feature, and I miss it!

Anyone currently at Hilton Head? Lodge status.

We usually request Building 12. We like the seclusion of the trees with glimpses of the marsh. We have stayed in Building 11 a couple of times (I think even number rooms face the marsh with no trees blocking your view.). The reason I stopped requesting Building 11 is that the studio balconies...

Boulder Ridge or Poly for November trip

It depends on when in November. If the Christmas tree will be up at WL, then I would vote for BRV.

Renter Adding Dining Plan Through Owner Question

I'm curious how this works. Does the renter pay the owner the amount of the dining plan and then the owner pays the dining plan cost through the website? But what if the renter wants to use discounted Disney GCs? I'm thinking of renting some points out in the future but I'm not sure how this...

    Dining Suggestions for Hilton Head??

These are our favorites: Skull Creek Boathouse (seafood) Poseidon (seafood) Fishcamp on Broad Creek (seafood) One Hot Mamma’s (bbq) Guiseppi’s (pizza) Frankie Bones (love their early bird surf and turf)

At what ppp does HHI become a viable option despite the high annual dues?

So what you’re saying is there hasn’t been a lot of availability during the refurb but now that’s it’s finishing up you are seeing more? I have no knowledge of booking on cash except this one time. I just know I was excited when I was able to book on cash this time because the price was great...

At what ppp does HHI become a viable option despite the high annual dues?

OP wasn’t asking about lack of amenities at or location of the resort. The first sentence of OP’s post is “I really like HHI.” The question is if the math works out to buy a low-cost resale despite high annual dues. As others have said, it doesn’t. But “gambling on the 7 month window” doesn’t...

At what ppp does HHI become a viable option despite the high annual dues?

So what would cause the refurb to change availability?

At what ppp does HHI become a viable option despite the high annual dues?

Have you been to Disney’s HHI resort? Not meaning to get into a debate, but OP has expressed liking it so I’m not sure why you seem to want to push VB. OP might be like me—wants to vacation at HHI often and has no interest in VB (one and done for us). OP’s question is if it’s worth it to buy...

At what ppp does HHI become a viable option despite the high annual dues?

I was able to get a 1-BR for four nights in October on cash, and there were several nights around my dates that I could have booked. Maybe I just lucked out. Now when I look, 2-BRs are the only thing available. The GV was never available. I'm thinking we will want to keep our 100 HHI points...

At what ppp does HHI become a viable option despite the high annual dues?

I wonder if that is just an off-season thing. I haven't checked rates for the summer since we don't go then, but once we start dealing with school schedules with future grandkids we may have to. I know points are higher in the summer, but I'm sure cash rates are, too. It may be the same scenario.

Paying Cash for a DVC Villa

I was able to book DHHIR for October with cash and got a member's discount. I already paid for the first night, which was the deposit. I paid with a credit card, and they said I would pay the remainder at checkin. I'm curious to know if you can pay with a Disney GC. I didn't think about it...

At what ppp does HHI become a viable option despite the high annual dues?

I have been thinking of adding on points there for a while and have another thread on this forum about it. Everyone has me scared about the annual dues! We have 100 HHI points and will likely keep them. We do want to stay at HHI twice a year from here on out, but we mainly travel in the...

Would You Buy 2042 Resort w/10 Yrs Left?

Yes they are. I'm just hoping they keep going lower. Definitely worried about the dues, but if I see they are out of control by the time I get ready to add the 50 points, I don't have to buy. $37.59/point is definitely scary!

Would You Buy 2042 Resort w/10 Yrs Left?

Within the next year we are planning on adding on points at HHI since it's the resort we want to stay at as we enjoy our retirement. We should be able to buy 150 points by next spring, but ultimately need 200 for what we want to do. Over the next few years, we are also trying to visit the...

    Timing of Selling Contract

Yes. I wasn't thinking clearly. My HHI points are in the same membership, so we wouldn't be able to transfer. I'm not so worried about my reservation as it uses only 5 points from the contract I would be selling, but I'm more worried about my friend's reservation because it uses quite a few...

    Timing of Selling Contract

So for example, we also have two HHI contracts which we are keeping. Could the returned points be moved into one of those contracts? If so, could banked 23 and current 24 points both be transferred?

    Timing of Selling Contract

I am reviving this thread because I am close to listing my contract. I have another question though. As I said previously, all 2024 trips will be completed by the beginning of October. There are two reservations for the first full week of October, one for my DH and myself (HHI) and one for a...

Canada - Le Cellier Pretzel Sticks and Cheese?

I was able to get soup and pretzel bread there for take-out, but it was YEARS ago. I asked politely and was told it may be a while so I rested there in the waiting area. I don’t remember how long I waited but maybe around 45 minutes. I then found a relaxing spot out by the lake and enjoyed a...

*HHI Owners and Beach Lovers Group Thread*

Guess I'll find out in October. Does anyone know if the couches are the same in the studios as in the larger units?
