What About Your Lifestyle/Habits Saves You Big $$$ ?

Unbelievable, lol. Whenever possible, turn to ad hominem. It works every time.

What About Your Lifestyle/Habits Saves You Big $$$ ?

Thanks for not reading my original post above. Using a credit card and paying the balance down to 0 each month was a point I already made. I do the same thing with my travel rewards card. Most people carry a balance and that was my criticism. Take care.

What About Your Lifestyle/Habits Saves You Big $$$ ?

One last note and then I'll probably back off of this thread since I do not wish to debate everyone (I assume I'll be the only one holding this point of view.) If you want to become a Doctor, which costs considerable money, fine and bless you. We need Doctors. The problem is that people are...

What About Your Lifestyle/Habits Saves You Big $$$ ?

I had to look up who Dave Ramsey was. As I touched upon in the above response, It is only unrealistic if people feel entitled to a particular standard of living that exceeds their actual income flow. Americans love living on borrowed money rather than actual funds at hand. Let's bring it...

What About Your Lifestyle/Habits Saves You Big $$$ ?

Yes, you are suggesting that people rack up huge sums of debt (not necessarily credit card, admittingly) that they can't afford. This is not a blanket statement. It is a practical one that ensures that people do not become financial servants to banks. However, it does fly in the face of...

What About Your Lifestyle/Habits Saves You Big $$$ ?

Interest is the root of all evil...mortgage, student loans, car loans, and the ultimate slayer of financial health, credit card interest. Outside of a home purchase, everything should be either paid for by cash or it is beyond your financial means and should not be bought. Don't like writing...

I give up - going to pack it in for now

I'm going to wait until Disney World gets back to a complete normal before I book my next Mouse trip. I guess I'll be going in 2022.

Am I the only one that is unimpressed with SWGE - where is the juice?

Rather than quote everyone, I'll take one more stab at this. There was a 35 minute standby wait for The Smuggler and a 50 minute standby wait for The Slink Dog. Smuggles doesn't have PF+ and The Slinkster had no more FP+available for that time slot. On that particular day, people were willing...

    Epcot restaurants and seeing fireworks

We had the center window table at Tokyo Dining. While we were there for a 6:30pm reservation and were long gone before Illuminations, I would think it would not be an ideal location to see the totality of the show. The 2nd floor location is nice but you are somewhat obstructed by the...

Am I the only one that is unimpressed with SWGE - where is the juice?

Sure I can because I just did. I am making a figurative point which you (I believe) took a bit more literal than I intended. I have seen a lot of comments in these forums that are trying to defend or tear down SWGE. I don't have an agenda at work here, just an opinion based on a first-hand...

Am I the only one that is unimpressed with SWGE - where is the juice?

We just got back from our vacation and were surprised at the short wait times for Smuggler's Run. While the week we were there had low crowds, in part due to the time of year and in part due to the magic 8 ball industry (A.K.A. meteorology,) the wait times were often 45 minutes or less. We...

    (2014-2020) Disney's GRAND FLORIDIAN RESORT & SPA + VILLAS Information & Questions

We just got back (on September 16th) from our first Grand Floridian stay. We were in Boca Chica (deluxe/lodge tower room) and there were both heavy paper cups with lids (for coffee) and glass cups. The Grand Floridian is a beautiful resort. We normally stay at the Dolphin but the GF was a...

Help Me Find a Final Dinner

My wife and I really enjoy Tokyo Dining. You can look up the reviews online as they are consistently favorable. Of course, the menu must appeal to you and it is back in EPCOT. We normally do not eat in Animal Kingdom...it's a ride Pandora and get out kind of affair.

    Hurricane Dorian

LOL, sorry. It never occurred to me that I needed to make the distinction between Los Angeles (famous for traffic jams) and the postal abbreviation for Louisiana...although I am sure I-10 can get a bit hairy at times...

    Hurricane Dorian

I have no idea what Dorian will do (nobody does at the moment.) I can add my experience with Michael from 2017. We flew in at 1pm the day the hurricane passed on the coast. Disney evacuated the parks and Orlando International cancelled all flights a few hours after we landed and closed the...

how did you choose your username for the dis?

Puffkins were a small plush toy line from the late 90s-early 00s. They are scattered around the house and almost equal the number of mice we have. (Mickey and Minnie are the mice)

2019 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: August 29-November 23, 2019

I'm so used to the Festival Center being next to Mission Space, I'll probably walk over there out of habit and be disoriented for a few moments.

Need Advice Selecting Parks vs Park Hopper

I agree. I only use hoppers. My wife and I split days between two parks (or more) every time we go. For full disclosure, we go more for ambiance rather than riding rides.
