    Trip Report - March 2024

I always enjoy your trip reports and your more laid back approach to your trips. I always say I’ll do the gym while at Disney but after walking 20k+ steps I just can’t get myself there. Maybe next time!!

    A Restful Spring Break? - A March/April 2024 Trip Report

Such a great start to arrival day! Sounds like something we’d enjoy next trip. We finally did Disney Springs last trip after not being there in about 15 years. Gideon’s and DDs love for shopping had me put it in our itinerary mid trip. We enjoyed it more than we thought! We also had a bit later...

Growing family and need help between OKW and Yacht Club.

I would do two rooms at CBR or Pop. OKW one bedroom only has one real bed. A sofa bed is good for the kids but I wouldn’t want to do a sofa bed for a week as an adult. Especially after Disney park days.

August 2024 first trip with a kiddo … Down in Port Orleans!

With ILL for Rise and G+ that’s a very reasonable list if you make your first selection at 7 am. Mother daughter trips are so much fun and special. You guys will have a great time!

    OJ Simpson Died

I was in 7th grade. I went to a school in a “rough” neighborhood. The school was 99.9% black and Hispanic. They stopped class and turned on the TVs to watch the verdict live. Everyone cheered. Our teacher was white and a domestic violence survivor and I thought she was going to pass out. She was...

    Refrigerator/coolers in rooms

They didn’t keep items cold enough for US when we stayed at CSR. I like my drinks very cold and they were not. We keep our home fridge in the middle so we don’t have a unusually cold fridge. I didn’t feel safe with our milk and tossed it. Our frozen waffles were very soft (not a big deal) and...

An adult threatened my 6 year old

In some areas the police wouldn’t even come out for a call like that. Some towns/cities the police don’t even come out for non injured traffic accidents.

An adult threatened my 6 year old

I think calling the police is a waste of time and resources and over the top. I don’t even know if they’d take a report for something like this?

An adult threatened my 6 year old

I wouldn’t shop there again and move on.

    Rest/resort day(s) for 4/6 YO

Your plan is basically how we did the parks when our kids were that age. We always did midday breaks but my kids have always been good sleepers. They could sleep through anything so if they fell asleep on the bus they’d stay asleep as we got to the room and stayed sleeping. Even once nap times...

    WWYD - convenience store mishap

Unless there’s a sign that says “you break it you buy it” or “you drop food you pay for it” I’m not paying for it. And I’m not a cheapskate or a thief or a scam artist but some things are just over the top. They probably lost 25 cents, if that, on the hot dog they charge $3 for. I worked at...

    NJ Earthquake

In NJ right across the bridge from Philly and we felt it. I work in a pretty old building and I heard crunching and loud noises with shaking. Thought maybe they’re doing construction above me. After 5 seconds or so I kept swaying and shaking and I realized it was an earthquake. My coworkers...

AYCTE Opinion Question- What do YOU think?

Eh I really don’t care. I’m a mind your own business type person. I would probably just do dart eyes with who I’m with and get a giggle out of it but it wouldn’t cross my mind after that. I figure they need the food and maybe it’s how they can afford to eat later. It’s also way too much work...

    Debt Dumpers 2024

We have had Fetch pet insurance for our 4 year old pup since we got her 3 years ago. They do cover hips, knees and ligaments, etc. with this note: Except where clinical sign(s) occur during the first six (6) months that the policy is in effect. However, coverage will be afforded if your pet...

    Disney World Hot Takes

I’m in NJ and about 10-15 minutes from South Philly and actually just ate Italian there a few weeks ago so I know good Italian. But the more better reviews I’ve been seeing about Tony’s is making me want to try it especially during parade time and hoping for an outdoor seat. I think we would...

    Disney World Hot Takes

Epcot is probably my least favorite park. Not because I hate it because I don’t. It’s just lower than the other 3 for me. ROtR is overrated to me. The hype online was nuts but when I rode it I was like ummm ok? But I’ve also never watched a Star Wars movie. My kids thought it was amazing. This...

    SSR or moderate

This is with the stay longer and save more deal they are running right now. I decided to check because I’ve never paid $350 a night for a moderate even the one time I went without a discount (November 2022). You just have to do a mock booking on the Disney site and the prices are right there...

    SSR or moderate

Depends on the time of year but you can get moderates for as low as $240 a night with tax (that’s only looking at May and June 2024) so it’s a big jump cost wise when you’re accounting for multiple days. $450 a night is a big jump IMO.
