    As someone who has been on both ends, I would say tell them. Helping plan the trip is part of the fun, however, you could do a bit of both and tell them around Thanksgiving or beginning of December, that way they don't have too long to wait and they can also help with restaurants and whatnot.

    Honestly, AK isn't worth spending a whole day on, and with HS undergoing so many renovation, it would be worth your time to spend a day at Epcot, and then 2 at MK just because it is such a big park with so much to do and it's a lot to try and experience in just one day
